There have been quite a few instances of bad sponsorship situations. DC Solar. Nature's Bakery (both mentioned here), and let's not forget Tabasco Hot Sauce with ISM Racing, which sued the team (or the group that bought ISM) for switching from Pontiac to Chevrolet during the 1997 season.
AT&T tried to sue Mike Borkowski for getting into multiple wrecks in a race while sponsored by them. If that went through, it might have resulted in a pretty terrible precedent.

Todd Gilliland to the 38 for 2022.
GMS has purchased RPM (specifically Andrew Murstein's share of it).

Not all that surprising considering their performance and Richard's age. I just hope that when Petty fully leaves the team they either change the #43 font or just switch to another number altogether.
This also means that RWR will lose the charter for the 51 as it will transfer to Ty Dillon and the 94 team.

They hinted a few weeks ago that they will be cutting back to 2 cars so it seems they likely were planning on losing it.

Wow guess nothing lasts forever, this should be pretty good news for Jones.

When I found out how little Richard Petty was involved, its always escaped me as to what was even the point of him being there at all. It obviously hasn't been Petty Enterprises for the longest time and the results have for the most part been basically nothing to ride home about seemingly no matter what equipment or manufacturer they go with. It hasn't even been his team so apart from being a figurehead, what has even been the point of him continuing to be there?

To literally be the team's mascot lol
Pretty much, for the last 20 years or so Petty's basically been the motorsports equivalent of an Executive Producer, involved in name only to give the team more marketing credibility with potential sponsors. But with NASCAR having finally moved away from the whole good ol' boy image, he doesn't fit the marketing profiles anymore so there's really nothing left for him to do but just step away completely.

Building off of this: 42 team is not gone.

I mean, sure, let's keep a car number that has never won anything in Cup and hasn't been used in almost 20 years as opposed to one that actually has history with the Petty family. Seems like a smart idea!

Interesting article:

I couldn’t get to Pocono this year but told my wife that I wanna see all 4 races next year there. Looking forward to see the next gen cars and the ‘22 design trucks.

Yeah I know but 94 is cooler than 42

Some "B-Series" news:

With no driver and no sponsor initially, Cassill now moves to the team to join defending champion Hemric and 4th place finisher Allmendinger.

Not entirely surprising, a little while prior Voyager's CEO said they wanted to find him "a winning car for next year", which was a pretty thinly veiled way of saying that wherever Landon went, their sponsorship would follow. That kind of sponsor portability makes any driver a more attractive proposition, even if they're being paid in imaginary Internet dragon's gold by said sponsor. (I hope Landon has the sense to cash out as soon as the funds transfer, given the history of crypto exchanges in general the last couple years...)

Kaulig has managed to somehow have a lineup consisting of 2 pay drivers and a 40 year old former Cup driver and have it actually be a pretty decent lineup.

Kaulig has announced the #16 will be the revolving door car with Allmendinger, Hemric and Gragson sharing the ride. Still no word on what Haley's number will be, my guess is either #61 or #66

Shame Roush couldn't keep the 16, speaking of Roush has Newman taken their part time offer yet?
Roush chose not to keep a number that has a limited history when compared to the numbers it did keep.
