I was about to say Fassbender might finish on the podium at the ELMS Paul Ricard round until he was punted by his Proton teammate Ryan Hardwick.

And a few laps later he was passed off the track by a Ferrari who then let him back by and then drove into the side of him a lap later at the last turn.

The WEC was accidentally leaking the driver's licenses, passports, and other government IDs for all of their drivers, totaling 1.1 million files

The WEC is aware of the situation, have notified the teams, and are "putting extra measures in place"

Pretty good overview for LMGT3 for next year. Some speculation for sure but still, Rossi would be great in WEC with WRT

Hmmm, I'd hope the Lambo would be more ...eccentric... Kind of as bizarre as the Peugeot with it's lack of rear wing, but then Lambo style.

It all looks a bit too normal, a bit too Audi-sourced to me.

Yeah, I also hoped that it would look "edgier" (like lamborghinis look compared to ferraris)

It's got to be function over form if they want to be pushing for results in an ever increasingly competitive catagory.

Looking different is fine if you are pushing for sales in a look-at-me road car segment, but you've got to go with what works in racing.

COTA just shared an hour ago they will be hosting the 6th round in 2024 around a year from now. This was such a fun series to attend years ago, hoping it’s another 6-hour race.

I'm not sure why the FIA WEC decide to update the app the day before a race - and it nearly killed my iPad just now.

While watching the qualifying replay, I couldn't control the app at all, and it wouldn't even let me hard reset the iPad for several minutes while the app went mental :ill: It doesn't bode very well for later...

Porsche Penske is hanging on.

Ferrari disappointment to be honest.

Toyota as usual OP. GR010 is just a refined car in every way.

Toyota will still take the championship.

Porsche is literally a warrior just hanging on.

Its fighting a losing battle. Toyota is just there smelling blood its a matter of time before they catch it.

Porsche has literally surprised me.

It’s a 6 hour race but all they can manage is a 4 min highlight reel on youtube, why?

I think they make two versions; a normal one and later an extended version that can go up to 1hour
They've stopped doing those since Sebring this year.

The ACO's management of their own race series are a joke (same for IMSA in this regard).
For such a detailed and nuanced sport as sportscar/endurance racing, they couldn't even bother to make a proper highlight/recap reel for their races, when you'd think that an official detailed recap/highlight should be basic for any kind of competitive sport worldwide. The "highlights" that they show are merely a collection of replays that feature a few action moments in the race, paying no attention whatsoever to the actual important details involved - strategy battles, actually important in-class fights, impactful penalties, etc.
You'd watch them and come out without a clue of how the winners won, how the losers lost, and just how the race overall turned out as it did.

I've been trying to do what these race organizations couldn't by making my own proper, in-depth weekend recaps for every race on youtube, but unfortunately my own efforts are rather powerless compared to what their media teams could do (but chose not to).

Are you sure about IMSA doing that? They literally have full race replays uploaded within the same week (Something that last I checked, WEC doesn't even do at all)
