But he's got these conservatives hypnotized. It's like nothing he says or does sinks into their heads. They just hear one thing, "Immigrants bad!!!!" and that's all they hear. He can get up there on the debate and tell the lie about Haitians eating dogs and cats and instead of saying, "well that's ridiculous, I'm not going to vote for somebody that makes up stuff like that. There's no telling what else he would make up". Conservatives hear, "Haitians? Immigrants bad!!!".

Well let's ask one shall we?

@WolfpackS2k Do you believe the stories of Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio eating the cats and dogs of the citizens there to be true even though JD Vance admitted that he created the stories and they have been debunked countless times?

"Yeah, but but Jussie Smollett..." say the MAGAs I've read online.

Two fundamental differences between the stories are:
  1. When the Smollett story was disproved Dems stopped believing the lie
  2. No schools or hospitals were closed as a result

What's even weirder is that if they were eating stray cats and dogs. Why does it matter? Cultures all over the world eat dogs and cats. Eat people's pets, I mean the only issue there is you're stealing someone's property. The actual act of eating the animal shouldn't be the issue.

"I know nothing about it", "It has nothing to do with me", & "There's bad things in it, I wish them luck".
"You've seen Tom," the former president replied. "You've seen Tom Homan. He's coming on board."
Homan has also worked for the Heritage Foundation, the conservative think tank behind Project 2025. He is listed as a contributor to the policy document, which proposes mass detention and deportation of undocumented or illegal immigrants in order to "regain control of the border."

This guy was Trump's former Director of ICE & has been flaunting his excitement to deport people.

Polling keeps looking worse. The number of assholes in this country is staggering.
Got a link? Noticed a couple of polling stations on Twitter that were showing a rather extreme right slant in how they polled their sample sizes.

I just watch 538's forecast.

Still showing predominantly in favor of Harris, with a 55:45 and most of the aggregated poll sources in her favor. It... probably shouldn't be that low.

Really, the only way Democrats lose is if people don't vote. I think replacing Biden with Harris made more people actually want to show up to vote, so I think that's a huge plus for them. Republicans who don't like Trump will probably just not vote because they won't vote for a Democrat. Either that, or they'll write in someone. Still, that's good new for Harris.

If Trump does win, I think the best outcome would be the Senate and House going to a Democrat majority. That would vastly limit the amount of damage Trump could do and when he commits a crime (which I'm giving the over/under at 12 hours on day 1) he'll get impeached. That leaves us with Vance, but Vance seems like more of a useful idiot than anything else. He's probably loaded up with crimes too.

Same polling system had Hillary at 70something% and Biden at 89%. Her lead in Wisconsin and Michigan has been deteriorating, and PA just flops back and forth depending on whether it's a Trump heavy sample or a Harris heavy sample.

I'd be comfortable if Harris were sitting over 70%. Instead it's dead even and she's been losing ground slightly.
