The minute, the very second you start to call these people garbage they act all offended and play the victim. Because they duplicitously hold you to standards of human decency they have no interest in adhering to themselves.
What's weird is that these same garbage people fly flags off the back of their clapped-out trucks that say "Trump 2024: 🤬 Your Feelings!" Well, these people are garbage, and honestly, 🤬 their feelings.

And what happens when he does? MAGA loons whine that he just insulted half of America. Meanwhile their orange overlord calls all of America a garbage dump and they give him a free pass.

The only thing that I lament about it is that he gave people an opportunity to "both sides" an issue that was winning for Democrats - that Puerto Rico was called an island of floating garbage in a rally. Somehow that was actually influencing people to act, and Biden's gaffe (and I truly believe it was a gaffe because it runs counter to some of his deepest messaging, and because he's so old he had to drop out of the race), gave the news an opportunity to pivot to a new shiny thing and diminish the impact.

That being said, Trump running around in a garbage truck just reminds everyone that he thinks America is a garbage can for the world, and the Puerto Rico is the garbage itself. Trump feels like he gets to win with the grievance, but I'm not sure the voters he's trying to persuade are a stupid as he thinks - as stupid as his garbage supporters.

I also think he's trying to signal that he's a garbage man, ready to take the human garbage out of the garbage can that is America. Which once you see it is hard to Na zi.

That's why I called it the worst gaffe yet yesterday. I figure he should've said "the only garbage is his campaign speakers' attacks on fellow Americans" but had a cognitive brainfart and paused at the wrong moment as he said supporters'... instead and realised his mistake.

This has already morphed into "Biden and Kamabla called us all garbage" in the minds of those who the edited segment was aimed at even though Harris was quick to distance herself from the comment.

To be honest, being a Trump supporter isn't a protected class so his accurate comment just hurt the degenerates' feelings.
