it didn't seem as if they cut in front of any car in the pit lane (which is ultimately what an "unsafe release" is)

To be fair to the Ferrari, he did then slot in behind the P2
 
Ferrari #50 could be in the situation where they have practically no fuel left if they try to zero stop it from here...

... and that could put them in the situation where they want to avoid crossing the line before the clock runs down to zero, otherwise they could run out of fuel on the last lap, unless they have enough time over P2 to deliberately time it so they don't have to do the extra lap.

83% fuel left with about 83% of the time from their final stop left... :scared:

I think the 50 is going to cross the line with 2% fuel at a idle to win.
It might come down to whether Ferrari can time it so they cross the line just after the clock hits zero - otherwise that extra lap might cost them the race.
