How will this overlap with F1? the 24 will be over by 9:00AM est time and the F1 race will be starting 3 hours later at 12:00pm est. Sure qualy will be missed but F1 will be in Canada this week so no problems of the 2 races overlapping.

And the weather is predicting it not to rain during the race? I'm almost positive that wont happen. How often dose it not rain during that race.

Yes but you need to know who's on pole so you can see who's going to win the race

Not at Montreal ;), its quite famous for its race results don't ya know.
Watching F1 Qualy is not too big a deal, only 1 hour and you can always keep an eye on Le Mans through live timing at the very least (or vice versa).

I agree, I would rather see additional teams from the European series or something take spots, but its only fair that an Asian team gets an entry. Its just a pity their series is almost nothing right now and SuperGT aren't quite the right regulations I think?
Saying that though, South America, which is another rich motorsport area, isn't represented much at all and could probably muster a decent squad. Its disappointing that Japan can't supply a better team than JLOC for GT1.

Maybe instead of spreading so many invitations over different series winners, for GT1 they should invite more teams than 1st and 2nd? Especially from the GT1 World Championship which has a great selectons of teams right now.
It just seems a shame that we have so many excellent teams in European and American series but invitations have to be sent to seemingly average teams in race series that only have one race with minimal competition.

Mmm, A couple of hours sleep then a GP race :)👍

P.S calling JLOC a GT2 team in my previous posts was deliberate, I wouldn't class them in the same league as the other GT1 outfits. They're a bit like Lotus in F1 ;)

How about some pictures, eh?

My favorites for GT2

I like the closed cockpit LMP cars more generally speaking, in terms of looks. The Cadillacs were an exception.:P

Yeah, I love the closed cockpit LMP cars. I hope next year Aston and Peugeot continue with coupes. I like the Audi, but the closed cockpit cars in my opinion look much better.

But opened cockpit is much easier to switch driver compared to closed cockpit though.. Nontheless, closed cockpit looks much better ;)

That Highcroft video is awesome. Watching it made me curious about the team and so I found a few more videos, notably "Brabs" (David Brabham) blog videos. Quite funny, check this one out (about tech inspection day also)

One thing I like very much about Le Mans is the relaxed (but very professional) atmosphere. You can see that these guys - all of them, from drivers to mechanics - are thrilled just to be there. And since Le Mans is much more than a race, a TEST to all of them, they do respect each other (on this topic, I really liked yesterday's interview to Tom Kristensen and especially the bit when Sarrazin speaks about him and he speaks about Sarrazin. It's all about respect).

Hey FreshSeth, welcome to the forums :) Nice pictures, but you'll probably get pinged by the mods for posting them in 4 different posts - double-posting alone is frowned upon, let alone quadrouple-posting! :P

Just a tip - I'm presuming you got the first pics, then found the others after you posted first? In future, just go back and edit them into the first post rather than putting them all up as seperate posts. I know for a fact that the mods don't dig on multiple posts in a short time span.

Otherwise, great pictures! Where did you find them? The Peugeot looks rather nice - I'm starting to warm to the Peugeot, I'm still awkward with the idea of diesel domination and political grandstanding in motorsport, but the Peugeot at least looks like a really nice racecar, rather than the R15, which looks like a beached whale shark plastered in Audi bilboards.

Hey!! Leave JLOC alone guys, they're gonna win GT1!!. If somehow they actually qualify, start the race and everbody else crashes out.

;)

I don't want them replacing, even if they are crap. The only way i'll let that happen is if Reiter Engineering take their place (They were on the entry list last year but pulled out). There has to be a Lamborghini GT car at Le Mans.👍 A GT-R would be nice too though.:)

Hmm, more like Virgin, Lotus are doing well all things considered, which isn't what JLOC are ever doing.

True, I saw your avatar and had to have a dig ;)

I love the Highcroft openess, everything they do seems to be posted on Youtube. I started following the blogs after their victory at the Laguna seca 6hr :)👍 and I'm sure you all remember this. Last to 4th in 4 laps

The same was echo'd tonight with Nigel Mansell, he was wishing good luck to everyone and their dog, he genuinely wanted the other teams and drivers to do well, or maybe he was helping to secure a future Audi/Peugeot race seat for his sons ;)

I hope they do well I really do, but they only managed 1 lap in '07, (yes I know they had to rebuild the car after the huge qualifying crash, I was there:)) then no invite in '08, invited back in '09, only to retire again after 1 lap. I love cheering for the underdog, but sometimes the reality of the situation cannot be ignored :(

Uhh, thanks, but I've been here for 3 years now. I think? Anyway, regarding the double posts, it's all good. The mods didn't say anything to me about it. If they do I'll just put it in a single post next time. But I figured I would just make it into multiple posts. I didn't want to flood the board, and figured there would be replies in between my pics, guess not though! Anyway there was a lot more I could have posted, there's a few sites I get my pictures from. It helps being apart of other forums too. I usually go and view the posts on ten-tenths, they have a lot of viewers relating to LeMans.

This is good, Highcroft racing Tech inspection.

Watch on Youtube in 720p If you can 👍

Honestly ?.. ;-)
I love the music from this video.. - well, few hours ago I got some really good news and since then was celebrating.. this may have a lot to do with me liking that piece :D

Back on topic - in term of looks:

908hdi >= Black Aston > Blue/Orange Aston > R15/10

Notice how I used >= between Peugeot and Black Aston - closed cockpit prototypes really are much better looking than open type.

BDW I would love to see some hybrid LMP1 car showing up and wining the race.. just because... :-)

The designers of that R15+ should get shot in the face. Seriously, that is by far the worst looking design they've entered in the last years. (The R8R '99 looked brilliant, although the closed-cockpit alternate to it was hideous as well...)

Guys I am hooked on "Brabs video blog" and a team I knew litle of is now a team I will cheer for, hoping they (Brabham, Franchitti, Werner, and all the team) do well.

Just amazing stuff ...

And as a gamer, I'd like to try this simulator :P

Oh man...you know what I thought? I saw that you'd posted multiple times, and read your Senior Member bit quick and assumed it said Junior Member...:dunce::dunce::dunce:! Sorry man, my bad.

That's cool, sometimes the mods do get touchy about that in my experiance, but if they're cool with this then s'all good, as you say :)

Those pictures do look great, the R15+ looks marginally better than the regular R15, but still, it still looks like a sea animal...I'm thinking more a crab, or something you'd get at the bottom of the Great Barrier Reef, rather than a whale shark this time. I'm in agreement with Bram Turismo 100%.
