Put LeStig and I in as a team - Super Aguri

I have both PAL and NTSC versions so we can make up the numbers in either competitions

Give me a day or so to think this one over , I will let DaddyVDubbs know.

Thanks

7.00 am Monday is just too hard to organize for me. If in the future another time is appropiate (I doubt it) I be there with bells on.!!!

Sorry Ardius, but I doubt I'll make it to Sundays race, so there is not much point in me being a co-organiser sadly. I might make a couple of races over Christmas though. Let Appie and Shaggy be together, because I wont make many races, and can you call my team Delorean??

If theres any teams left, sure, but if enough people join by then and want to keep the current team names or other names, I'll have to give them first choice. But its doubtful we will see a full grid judging by last time, so I'll just yes anyway ;)

Any preferrence for region? I'd suggest whichever region you live in or are closest to just to keep lag down.

Cool, no problem.

Happy to use NTSC - I am assuming that the original Aussie disc I have is in fact NTSC - same format as our GTP5 discs

Aussies are PAL - same as Europe. The GT5P discs should be PAL too......so do you have two PAL discs? The way to check is to check what region it says on the back of the box, if its region 2 its PAL-Europe/Australasia. I think region 1 is NTSC-North America?

I believe you would be correct on that one, Ardius.

Dunno if this helps

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:PAL-NTSC-SECAM.svg

BTW I won't be available for this until probably the new year.

Not really, as the regions are split up differently to that because of DVD Region Locking.
Combine this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:DVD-Regions_with_key-2.svg

With that PAL-NTSC-SECAM region map and you'll have a general idea of which regions can play with which with region locking. Mostly its:
US, Canada (and Mexcio?).
Japan and Asia.
Europe, South Africa and Australasia.

I have no idea what happens with South America, the Middle East and the rest of Africa.

It would appear i have 2 PAL F1CE discs. Thats because it says PAL on both disc cases :dunce:

My original GTP5 disc bought from the local EB Games store doesnt say PAL or give any region code but the web site address on the back cover is
www.us.playstation.com/granturismo. The version I got yesterday from Ebay UK says PAL and gives the european websites address and I used a game save from Mr Weary to get up and running.

So Im happy to have a crack at the title but it's PAL for me and as my team mate (ex team mate) would be using the same PS3 and Sim it would seem that Im on my own. Happy to join any one or be a reserve if someone cant make a particular race..........

Ok, I'll stick you in Team Lotus for PAL. Have you got any issues with the time? Because it would mean getting up early in the morning over there wouldn't it?

I'll join. I'd like the Team Aguri Seat if thats okay.

Consider yourself in buddy.:)

Thanks:tup:. I may not be able to do the first two rounds, but I hope to race in the series. Also, I hope the times won't conflict with Super GT.

All drivers please note the following ammendments to the race rules:

  • Collisions and damage will be on - which means we expect all drivers to wait for any drivers they have accidentally knocked out of the race and give their position back. It is the responsibility of the car behind to avoid accidents. The car in front should never have to wait if involved in an accident. If brake testing was involved, then obviously it will need to be proved.
  • During racing, it is also expected of all drivers to comply with the 1 block rule. Any drivers found to be repeatedly ignoring this rule will firstly have points docked, and, if the driver still refuses to comply, the driver will be kicked from the championship and lose all points.
The one block rule is referring to the standard rule employed in most motor racing, where only one block is allowed on a straight and then the driver blocking has to commit to that new line.
The rule applies only to the upcoming corner, it resets for the next corner and so on, so you can keep blocking through a sequence of corners, but you can't repeatedly block on a straight.
The main reason this is done is to avoid accidents, keep the racing going and also to encourage more elaborate strategies about how to keep ahead of the guy behind, such as allowing him to pass but then pressuring him into a mistake or taking new lines around the track which force him to allow you past, etc.
  • It is up to the drivers to ensure that everyone is racing for fun first and foremost and to ensure that everyone is given fair racing room and respected equally on the track. However, if arguments arise over racing incidents, warnings and instant bans will be enforced - all points will be taken off and the driver will be kicked out of the championship. With regards to this, I ask all drivers to please be aware of the "lag bubble" that is employed online in F1:CE and to take care when battling with another driver - sometimes it will seem you have not touched the other driver at all but in actual fact the lag bubble has caused you to take them out. Please keep this in mind and watch out for it, you will be expected to wait for the driver(s) as it is considered an unfair advantage.

I'm in sign me up as well.

Looking forward to this. :)
As DaddyVDubb said lets enjoy !!!!

I'm in with RACECAR in the Super Aguri. :)
