:D Hi all! Thanks for having me aboard :D I hope to meet new friends and show that I'm a clean racer........even though I'm a redneck  This forum stuff is still kinda new to me so if I slip somewhere please feel free to point me in the right direction 💡 I feel bad to take the place of a good fellow racer that lost his ride the way he did :guilty: but a driver must seize every good oppritunity that comes his way  With that said, I hope that I can represent Team Mopar with honor for the rest of the season 👍 .......or until Nicksfix gets his PS3 fixed  Please take time to check out my profile and if there is anything that isn't there you would like to know about me, please feel free to ask...........that does not mean I'll answer it :sly:

Welcome HEMIata and sorry to hear it Lennon, it seems everyone is slowing getting bricked PS3s.

Official Announcement - we are changing the weather at Indianapolis from rain to dry because of the potential server issues on the NTSC side, this is merely a precaution to help identify where each other is.
I once again ask drivers to keep in mind the possible glitches which may happen and try to keep track of them.

If we have a massive glitch problem again I sadly have to stop the championship (at least on the NTSC side) because its impossible to keep track of points scoring without it becoming a long-winded argument over who finished where.

I've been online (IN THE RAIN!) and it was fine, no lag, no glitching, nothing.
I guess I will have to re-do my practice now, but the online is fine now.

well that sucks Lennon but if you take ps3 apart and clean the eye it will work again thats what happened to my 1st ps3 loool i bought a new 1 but after i cleaned eye it works just fine now on to HEMIata we were in same tournament that just finnished he's a good clean racer now i need a team8 looooool i got 1 maybe he was also in the other tournament HEMIata more great battles ahead looking forward to it WELCOME

Thanks y'all. I feel I am welcomed with opened arms........at least to turn one  I'll also keep that "cleaning the eye" advice in my hip pocket for when my PS3 starts messing up :sly:

Welcome aboard, HEMiata.. always nice to see a new driver out there. Very unfortunate to have happen, Nicksfix.. hopefully you'll be back up and running shortly. Was yours one of the original launch PS3s by any chance?

Ardius: I've not personally seen a glitch at Indy.. ever. Of course, there's always a possibility, but I think we'll get through this round fine going on past experiences.

Also, has anyone decided to do a practice run? What times are you clocking?

My PS3 is an 80g version , only 10 months old :ouch::grumpy:

called Sony , they are sending me a box to ship it back to them , they told me 2 to 4 weeks until I recieve it back. Oh well , it's an electronic instrument , I guess things happen , BUT ONLY 10 MONTHS OLD :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

Strangely, thats yet another 80 GB PS3 Failure I've heard about. Third one this week. It makes me even more suspicious about the 80 GB PS3s.

Anyhow, what times are you NTSC guys getting now that we will do the race in the Dry? Fastest I achieved just now is 1'10.882 while consistantly doing 1'11s mostly. And on a less important note, the sound of the traction control often heard on the real life F1 cars in 2007 is very evident on the Toro Rosso. Can't seem to hear it as clearly on the other cars.

@Nicksfix: that's unfortunate. I'm still on my original 60GB with BC and worried daily.. seems these are dying off pretty quickly as well. Best of luck to you, man.

Consistent low 1'10, sometimes a 1'09 in there. Easy 1'08 in a draft.

For all the NTSC Drivers, I'm thinking of holding a practice session tomorrow night. How does 9 pm EST sound to you? :)

PM me if interested.

Well my season became unplugged as of last night . MY PS3 DIED , It will not read any disc inserted game , I can turn it on and send pm's , I can play the few downloaded demos I have , but it will not play disc inserted games.

So , as of last night I am officially out of the F1CE Championship , :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy: . GL ALL , I will keep in touch through here with you all.

Sorry to hear about your PS3 M8, hope you get it sorted :)

Oh have you tried to do an OS restore and format ? You will lose all your games saves & settings etc but back everything up first.

Someone definately has some explaining to do.

Who caused the pile up at the start, kakundoo or shaggy, either way we wern't even at turn 1 and as a result I lost my front wing, due to no fault of my own, so I have to make a pitstop at the end of lap 1 dropping me to last.

This ruined my entire race, yet both of you finish 1 and 2.

Action needs to be taken, or I'm pretty sure I'll be leaving.

No one commented on this then, no apologies, nothing.

Tbh, I think your main beef should be with Appie. The incident between me and Kakundoo at the start happened in front of you, no one profitted from it. I have no idea what went on with you and Appie but neither me nor Kakundoo should be docked points over this. I'm sorry if it ruined your race, but it was a racing incident. It ruined my race too, sure I came back to finish second but i finished about 15 seconds behind Kakundoo and the race win was always out of the question. BTW, you pitted immediately at the end of the first lap didn't you? Did this mean you had to pit 3 times? If so, you would honestly be better just crashing your car and respawning with a new car, that way you'll only have to make 2 stops. Just a tip 👍

BTW I hope you'll be racing come sunday. You've had some bad luck in races recently with collisions, but it's just the way it goes. You had good luck at Catalunya from what I read. Gotta take the rough with the smooth.

I would understand if the incident had happened at the 1st corner at least, but we were on a relatively straight part of the track.
I saw kakaundoo move over, and you put a wheel on the grass, a bit more care is needed in leaving enough room.

I am sorry that you are bitter from this incident LewyOs, but like Shaggy said, no-one benefited, however, luckily for me I had no more accident meaning that I could gain places back quickly and get a good lead.
Just get over it, I had no traction control in the first two races meaning that instead of getting 4th on the first race and 2nd or 3rd on race 2, I came 4th and 5th, costing me valuable points. But I don't moan about it. You just have to take everything in your stride, everyone has bad races.
I mean, what do you actually think will happen by you complaining about an incident that didn't help anyone?

You both did, I got dropped to last, meaning 1 less person for you 2 to have battling for your place, my fastest lap was just a tenth slower than Shaggys fastest lap of the race.

You not realising your own settings is different to disadvantaging someone else.

Take a look at my last few races, all have been far from perfect, I only complained at this one since it really was no fault of my own and I felt I had been clearly disadvantaged because of other peoples actions.

Done a practice at indy today fastest lap was a 1.09.4 but most laps im in the mid 1.10's

Captain Slow checking in. I was doing low 1:11s last night with no draft. Still trying to figure out the line for turn 6 and 7. Anyone have any tips, the online car is undertsteering like crazy out of 7 and I think that's where I can pick up the 1/2 second or so I am losing.

I apologise Ardius. But everyone has bad races and from what I recall, lots of people had avoided the collision at the start but made their own mistakes later in the lap. I will not get into any arguments as it is beneficial to nobody.
Good luck to everyone at Indianapolis, I hope you all do well.

Try to make a late apex for turn 6 so you hug the curbing even on the exit, this way you can get a good early entry into 7 and not run as wide, also giving you some extra speed down the straight. Like in this video:

I know it took me a while before I figured out a decent line through there. Z is right on the money. 👍

Its not about Lewy0s gaining positions - or at least I think he isn't meaning that. He's more questioning the racing ettiquette going on and it sounds like it was pretty iffy to be honest.
From what I can tell, you and Shaggy got into a tussel off the line, which you caused, which had negative effects further down the field too.

Sure, no one can tell what would have happened if the incident hadn't taken place, but that isn't the real issue here - this is a question of clean and calm driving.
You can't go throwing these cars around in this game online as we all know the collision detection isn't the best, so making moves that are so close to each other is a little dodgy and I wouldn't encourage it.

The root cause of this incident was something you did Kak and from the sounds of it you weren't looking out for other drivers when it happened - so I recommend you think this over very carefully.
You said to Lewy that no-one gained anything, but if the incident resulted in a broken front wing for him - which he had to pit for....I'd say someone gained a disadvantage, at least a larger one than yours.

No problem.. glad it was helpful. :]

To Duck, CAMikaze, HEMiata, ranhammerR34 at practice last night: Sorry for bailing out so quickly.. had some unexpected company. Great fun at Indy. I really think this will be a fantastic race.

Thanks , Z.

Yes it was great  and I was starting to get comfortable with the line 👍 but I was still not close to the pace of the leaders :indiff: Guess I need some more practice :ouch:
