Hmm, i'm trying to learn how to use the manual transmission at sazuka... could be a bad Idea. I ran a race this morning and watched my times fall from 1:42 to 1:38. I'm losing a lot of time through the first few turns. I started to give up on the first lap because I couldn't get around with out crashing again. After a few laps I started posting times that weren't penalized. lol

Points for teams and drivers would look like this:

RACECAR - 113
FastDuck - 111
.

Third place battle looks very interesting too:

Lofasz - 57
Mofongo - 63

I only need two 2nd places to take 3rd. in the championship. In this hypothetical but interesting scenario, Lofasz will have to win those races + take fast lap as well to force a tie (no preassure Lofasz :sly:). The scoreboard would like look this:

Lofasz: 2 wins + fast laps, final score = 79
Mofongo 2 2nd places final score= 79

Lofasz would win third place by 2 first-place finish over 1 first-place finish by me :grumpy:; If Lofasz doesn't get a W and a tie happens, I would win due to my 1st first-place finish at Bahrain :dopey: (1st. race of Championship). But of course, there are a few other possible scenarios.:odd:

It is interesting how the first race of the calendar could impact the final standings.

Yes, that is interesting. I wish you both the best of luck in the final two races, as I also do for Fastduck, Racecar and Shaggy Alonso. It will be interesting to see the final results and to look back on the season at the main points.
It's a shame that we can't have a race between the four of us to see who would come out on top, but I guess that's just the way it goes.

That's the one thing that I hate about this being region specific. It can't really be called a world championship if you can't race people form around the world. I wish you guys luck as well in you championship. Should be interesting to see if any of us manage to pull off the 2008 Brazilian GP.

That would be cool. The time zone issue would be the biggest obstacle I guess.

I went and ran some practice tonight, had a good time with HEMI, MOFO, and ranhammer. My fastest lap tonight was a 1.32.015 i ran a 1.31.800 last night. This should be a good race, track is fast and narrow, gonna be a hard track to pass on. You have to stay very busy if you want to go FAST
QUACK QUACK

I've never liked this track and it's really difficult to do a full race without getting any penalties or accidentally moving on to the grass slightly in the braking zone and doing a 180 spin.
My best time so far was a 1:32.394, but that was a fluke, other than that I can consistently get 1:33s, every now and then dipping into the high 1:32s.

I'm having to touch the brakes to stabilise it into the first two corners, a bit more than when I was practicing this morning. A best of 1'33.790.

I absolutely love this track (with the wheel, of course). Very, very fast corners, few hard braking zones, fast S section, chicane, etc. I think this circuit has it all. Hard to pass though, but very easy to make mistakes. So, to go in front don't means much, a penalty free could make the difference.

. . . You have to stay very busy if you want to go FAST. . .

No doubt. I did a couple 12 lap practice races last night, and worked up some serious persperation. Best was 1:32.5xx, though my usual is in the high 1:33's. Great track.

I'll try to get on again tonite, hopefully early enough to catch some of you guys, if you're on.

Hell yeah, let's do this Mr.Happy! Even though we can't take the Constructors title (I've tried my best! lol) Our team can still try and clinch the Driver's title! :D

NOOO!! This can't be! How the hell am I supposed to compete with that!?
I can get into the 1:32s as long as I do a clean lap, but I usually accidentally make a small error that costs be about half a second to a second.
I just really, really, really, really, REALLY hope Shaggy is no where near as quick as you Fishfash, otherwise instead of challenging for the front, I will be fighting to keep 3rd!

I will be back with my G25 wheel on Sunday lapping in the 1:30's at Suzuka muhahahahaha :sly:

I could accidentally forget to send a PM ;)

Haha lol, it's okay Ardius, we have no need to resort to team tactics just yet ;) lol.
Besides, this might actually help me, Fishfash having his diving, God-like speed it's more than likely that he will come first with the fastest lap and Shaggy to come in second, meaning that Shaggy may only gain 2 points on me, rather than 3 or even 5 :nervous:.
I would like to finish in front of Shaggy though, that is my main goal as then I will be under less pressure going into the final race.

LOL....

Just messing around, I don't have time for F1CE anymore so I will be there with the Sixaxis. Haven't done Suzuka with the Sixaxis for over a year and half so I expect to be last.

I was very lucky at Shanghai, but then that's one of my favourite tracks. 👍

Well Fishfash, you say you will be last, but then you also said that at Monza, which was the same sort of situation, so I still don't expect you to be dead last lol.

Hmm, that feels like a huge weight off my shoulders, knowing that I may not have to deal with Fishfash lol, but that still does leave the huge problem that is Shaggy Alonso.
I saw him online yesterday and was about to practice with him, but I had to go unfortunately so I still don't know what his times are yet, but I can bet that they're fast.

Anyone feel like playing crash into Shaggy Alonso as many times as you can during the race on Sunday?

Kak, you can check online times by going into the rankings, then you will know exactly what you are up against. Most of the times are accurate but there are a few glitches here and there.

I would say ignore the first 10-20 online times per track.
