Yes. DM seems to know how to get the best of these ultra-wide angles. Consistently good shots. Thanks for sharing your experiences. :) 👍
First time using one (borrowed), but I really enjoyed shooting at those focal distances (10-20mm - equivalent to 15-30mm in a 35mm/FF format). 👍

The downside is that I now know I'll have to spend more money and add something equivalent to my equipment... 👎

P.S. Oh! yeah . . . and sharing the settings you use, too.

Lately I've been sharing the settings below each shot, but pretty much all of my photos are left with the EXIF info. It's just a matter of following the link to its flickr page and it's all there.

Oh, and thanks for stopping by. 👍

Nice shots. Still on the cruise?

Cruises are enormous fun. Need to do that again. Always hot girls, and they can't flee

Anyway, I wish I was still on the cruise... This is still part of the honeymoon trip (NYC/Miami/Caribbean Cruise) :P

I thought it had snowed on that beach for a moment before I realised it was a black and white image
I really like the colours of the shot in post #216 👍

^Thanks.

By the way, these last beach shots are from CocoCay, which is Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas.
We were not so lucky with the weather there (as you can see from the photos), but still is it a little piece of paradise.

First real outing with my Christmas gift. :D

These were taken today.

If some of the shots look oversharpened (which they look to me), blame flickr.

awesome shots mate, wanted to tell you which one, but scrolling down, I got confused which is the better one, they are all very cool 👍

The first 8 or so on the beach are fantastic, what kind of settings/'shopping (if any)? It's the kind of thing I always struggle to capture with my EOS.

A sunset is always difficult to capture. On top of that, this was my first outing with the D600, so I had no idea what the camera metering would do. Luckily, it did deal very well with this scenario and its fantastic dynamic range was an extra help. I think I add +2/3 EV on the shots in which the sun appears in the frame, so as to compensate for its extra brightness.

As for post-processing, it was just a matter of correcting the auto white balance - it was a glorious, gold sunset, and the camera overcompensated that; I adjusted it in post to match what I actually saw.
Basides that, just added a bit of contrast and everything just popped.

And thanks for stopping by. 👍

Resuming the cruise trip. A few more still to go:

These are the last shots from the fantastic vacation that was my honeymoon.

I've been posting photos from it since July 25, so basically it took me almost half a year to post 10 days of trip.

Hope you enjoyed some of it and thanks for watching and commenting.

Just something from the weekend. Really enjoying the D600. 👍
