Definitely try the '89 from the NCD it will give you a much better chance

Used this package for all. Just adjusted final. London and Eifel hardest (two attempts each). Fun though. Will try CH challenge.
not sure what ds3 and stick extenders are, followed guide I have 831kgs but only 143hp with 400pp ??

Are you comparing your car to Motor City Hami's tune from post # 31?

Motor City Hami's tune was a v2.10 tune.

The v2.11 update changed the PP values for many FR cars (including the Miata's) which made this particular Seasonal somewhat difficult. If you go back and start reading this thread from post # 156 you can see when everyone starts running into this v2.11 update issue.

Our 380PP Roadster Cup resident expert: Argon talks about this starting with his post # 166. Try Argon's tune in post # 166 and you should be able to win these Seasonal races.

Good luck!

Folks,

I see you guys are getting 150bhp at 971kg and 340pp. I can't find a RX5 that will give me more than 149bhp at 1100kg and 380pp. I am struggling with all races but have won everything except London. I am on GT5 update 2.12. Any ideas? Thank.

Firstly, welcome to :gtplanet: and congrats on your first post 👍

The best car for this seasonal is the Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89 that is available from the New Car Dealership. Once you have the car pick one of the tunes from this thread and give it a go but be sure to follow the tune guide closely as it really makes a difference ;)

I posted an updated tune here Eunos Tune but there are tunes from others that may suit you better. Just flip back through the pages to find them.

Good luck and I hope this post helps you to that victory

Seems that folks are having difficulties with Indy post update as a result of the reversed position on PP. I decided to have another go with my old car to see what changes were necessary just to win the race. So here's an updated tune.

New car (Eunos Roadster NA special package '89) from NCD, No oil change, No aero, Std wheels

All weight reduction except windows ( do not add chassis reinforcement)
Engine stage 3
Racing Exhaust
All suspension, transmission and drive-train upgrades

200 Ballast @ Pos 38 to give 47:53 weight distribution
Engine output 96.4%
150bhp, Weight 1041kg, 380pp

Suspension:
-10 -10
5.8 6.5
4 4
3 3
3 3
Camber and Toe:
2.0 1.5
-0.15 +0.10
LSD:
9/11/8
Brake Bal:
7/6

Gears:
Hit default, set max speed to 112mph (all the way to the left) then set each gear as follows;
1: 3.309
2: 2.528
3: 1.982
4: 1.601
5: 1.335
F: 2.822 ( should give max speed of 160mph)

The final gear setting is for the Indy course only so you will need to dial it back for the other tracks ( see previous post for deatils ) . I've ran the race 4 times and either gain 1st on the back straight in the last lap or as late as the final corner but it's still a comfortable win.

Note: YOU MUST DRAFT! After the first lap the cars split into packs and you must use the draft from each pack to slingshot up to the next to gain the draft again. If you fail to do this it will be a tough win.

Happy racing :)

Many thanks for the great tune! 👍👍👍

Argon: I drafting on indy and getting 2nd everytime with your tune why?

Hard to say exactly why but here's a post containing a video run through I did a while back that demonstrates how to win at Indy. The car I used had the latest tune and I ran the race using a DS3. If you are a wheel user it should be easier.

Edit: anyone got a tune for season event 580PP La Festa Cavallino and all season events b-spec?

With the PP changes in update 2.12, PD really screwed this event up. It was fun taking 350PP cars to these races and just barely winning. Now I am taking 380PP cars and finishing 15 seconds behind the leader. It's like the PP changes affected the car that I enter, but the AI are still on the old, 2.11 PP levels.

Sad.

Is that what it is? Cause I find it impossible to get within even 4 seconds of the leader in London Reverse. I have run this race probably 80 times now and have come in second every time except for the times where I made a mistake and crashed, losing even more time.

I drive the line as clean as possible, barely get any tire noise, so no SRF kicking in slowing me down, my laps are 1:05-ish, I avoid all contact with other cars, but the rabbit is just not even on screen in the 5th lap... on the finish straight I see him in the Eunos Roadster Special Package crossing the line as a 4-pixel spot...

I tried this with different lead cars as well, if there is a "roadster" in pole, I exit out, I finish with 23 seconds behind him - always.

So after posting this I went into the seasonals and drove this event until I was ready to throw my controller at my TV. Three hours of restart/retry. A couple of times there was a Roadster RS in pole, but since I know better, I would back out and restart the event until there wasn't.

The line up included a Eunos Roadster '89 premium in pole, some other roadsters and MX-5's, but nothing crazy.

With an initial lap time of 1:06.1, I took 9th place on the final turn on the inside, caught 8th in between the two 90-degree street corners, and with further laps of 1:05, by lap 4 I am in 4th place, but just barely. The three lead cars had a substantial lead by now and were not even visible, because they were already around the next turn... but there wasn't anyone in the way of driving a super-clean line now. I passed 4th on the last corner, approached 3rd before the two street corners and was passing 2nd through the wide left and overtook first on the way to the final turn. Got gold with steadily improving lap times, 0:01.718 before 2nd place.

I sincerely drove this race 120 times now. I am not tired of it, I would do it again. Unfortunately, the prize car I got was just a Greenish Blue Metallic Silvia K's AERO (S14) '93, so completely not worth the prize. But all the retries probably amounted to about 8 million credits.

PERSISTANCE!!!

Yeh, getting a bit fed up with the ease of these events. Got another video for it though as always, perhaps some people will find it useful.

Hi - I can see that your '07 Roadster with 380 pp has 187 bhp to 1100 kg

Mine can only get 141 bhp, all though just 1100 kg

How can it be ?

So thats why London is so ridiculously hard.

No wonder people in older posts are saying that this event is easy, I mean the Roadster RS NC '07 stock with 167bhp and 1100kg is already at 391PP and this mother****er is racing against you as AI. In fact the ****tiest opponent starts at 381 PP, wtf PD?! Does anyone know the point at which the PP of events were updated to the patch?

I believe it was 2.11 which changed the pp levels and 2.12 which did away with hybrids. This seasonal became much more difficult after 2.11.

After a bit of GT5 break I came back and saw this thread and agree how difficult it is. But not impossible as I am a very average driver.

My Car Roadster RS (NC) '07

Weight reduction 3, windows, hood, chassis reinforcement.

Engine tuning 1

All drivetrain, transmission, suspension components.

Ballast 200 @ 23

-10 -10
6.0 6.0
3 3
3 3
2 3

camber and toe

2.0 1.9
-0.25 0.39

LSD

12
13
5

Brakes

9 10

power level 81.2

tranny 1st thru final

3.8, 2.8, 2.1, 1.7, 1.4, 1.2, 3.8

I got all laps into 1:05 and one into 1:04.9 with a DS3.

I found this car better than the NA '89 for this circuit. As well I used more + toe in the rear to make it easier to control.

Good Luck

You are talking London Reverse or any of them?

Couldn't get the 89 S.P Miata from the NCD anywhere close to 150bhp, no matter what I tried. Even bought a new one so there was no weight reduction or engine upgrade used. I have never had a problem completely replicating a tune other then this...
