Great work everyone! It's been some time since I've opened up 3dsMax but I should really finish my models. Lately I have been busy with Solidworks and my mechanical engineering degree. But anyways... Here are some examples...
Toyota Corolla GTS (AE86)
This is the older one but it's got some textures so it looks purdy. The interior has been stripped but it does have everything found in a stripped car (cage, dash, pedals, seats, etc).
Hard to see but this is the redone version. During my first attempt I took many shortcuts but this one is much cleaner and accurate.
Watanabe Rims
Hi poly count because my original tires were just displacement maps which looked like poo and I didn't like the previous rims.
Just because I am a sadist here's a youtube clip of the classic 4age. This was my student reel and the lighting is very poor (I plan to render it in MentalRay or Virtual but we all know how long that can take). The exercise was geared more towards animation, rigging and timing.
It's been rigged so when the flywheel is rotated it'll drive (set driven keys) everything else. The con rods were rigged with a bones system (tricky). I used some equations for the timing of the camshafts. I could have used keyframing but opted not to. This was probably in Max5-7 so I'm sure there's another easier way to do it.

Keen eyes will notice that a lot of accessories are missing; I just simply ran out of (render) time.
Currently I've been working towards my mechanical engineering degree but alas I've put that on hold with the addition of our first daughter. But here was one of the projects we've worked on.

Because I'm still learning Solidworks here is a carburetor that I created, assembled, created a drawing and lastly (sigh) applied some GDT to. I believe there were over 28 individual pieces for me to finish in one quarter with drawings (hand drawn (28 parts X 4 views = A LOT OF FRIGGIN' DRAWINGS!!!) as that was a requirement and the part drawing from Solidworks with design sheets and materials). These parts are as accurate as I could get with a micrometer and a CMM (cool machine, confusing as hell).
Lastly here's a short lil' local commercial for the parent company I was working for. This was made in Cinema4D by my boss and me. Most of the character designs/models, rigging, animation, compositing and lip synching were done by me.

Other than that there a plenty of other things I've missed. Looking back at all of this I really do miss 3D modeling.
Hope you all enjoy them and please feel free to comment and criticize!
