3D Modelling, Post your 3D models! (Cars, Planes, People, Landscapes etc!)

This isn't my 3d model, but it is my paint job. This is for NR2003 by Papyrus AKA Iracing

^The nose should be tilted slightly I think. :P But other than that it turned out pretty nice!

An update on my work, I won't be doing any further modeling until I have purchased a better desktop (with which I also plan on getting Autodesk Maya, as that is what the university I am planning on attending uses).

The nose is actually has an angle 8.6 at the nose and 3.9 at the front of the windscreen which to me seems enough, it might be the angle which makes it look flat.
I uploaded the model to media fire in case you would like to see it in more detail: http://www.mediafire.com/?f5txqjzxd3y891k

My laptop is also quite slow at most modeling where I start to use many curves.

A question, how do I create lines/edge where two faces intersect? It really bugs me when I delete a face where I'm going to make the interior to then discover the entire car body disappears. Does anyone know a solutions?

I'm currently having trouble with sketchup as it seems to crash after a minute or two.

Does anyone know what may be causing it?

Some very nice models in here!

Here is a Pro Stock Truck chassis I made a while ago. Not sure what to use it for yet, but I've been thinking about a mod for rFactor.

Hi guys, I've started modelling an ac cobra from blueprints on sketchup (just testing, not gonna be very accurate). I just wanted to know, how am I gonna make the car rounded so it's not box shaped?

Why use sketchup when you can use Zmodeler? It's free, and many rFactor and GTA mods are made using it.

I'll take a look at it... Are there any good free games that support models? I have trackmania, I found it quite difficult.

Very nice! How long did it take you to make?
Uhm... I don't remember really. Half a day maybe.

I'm redoing much of it right now, to fit a '69 camaro. I've wanted to do a drag racing mod for a long time. I'm pretty slow in the process though and I'll need help with physics, sound, mapping etc etc in order to make a complete mod.

The body is not made by me by the way, but I've modified it quite a bit.

How did you get the plans for the frame? Or did you just make it for memory?
I looked at pics in this thread and used these blueprints.

Okay. Yesterday I started working on a 3D model project. It was a Fiat 500, and I was able to choose which car I wanted to model (this is a school project). Unfortunatley, It didn't really work out, so this is what I am going to attempt to model in 3ds Max:

I've already seperated all the images (front, side, rear, top down). It's a '08 BMW 1-Series Cabriolet.

Do you guys think I should model it with the roof down, or up?
