After several trials, I finally gold it with Lotus Elise 111R with 1:06.344. It is my first time being top 8183 on the leader-board (my previous best seasonal rank is in the 32,000th lol) and also first time being #1 in the friend's list (I'm almost always the worst in the list) :D

Special thanks to @Turismo_lester (this guy is super fast and I'm told he is GT Academy Finalist) and @GTP_hilajj for the online race on this track prior to running the seasonal event so I could learn the track well.

I learn so much more about car control especially counter steering. When i finish this event, i find all other cars so much easy to drive and I improved all my lap times in other races.

Haha... I should be top of that list now as I've accepted your FR. :P 👍

1:01.4xx is my current time.

6 laps, 1'01.2 with the DS3... just turned the power down on the Bathurst tune (only just getting in to 4th gear ).

Don't think I can stand another 2 weeks of the GSX, ut the Lotus power delivery is a bit pants

lol, you ruin my glory!!! J/k thank you for the friend acceptance. You are obviously a fast driver. Can you run couple lap with the Lotus Elise 111R 04? I want to see how much potential this car can do on this track. Thanks.

I'm sorry to ask. Is that you in the avatar?? You actually seem more calm and "now[in]control" than your avatar lol :P :D

By the way, does anyone know how to turn off all the snakes (with friends' names on it) when we run the time trial? Those snakes are distracting at times.

Yes, I can certainly run a few laps in the lotus, tho I doubt i'll be faster than my GSX-R time with it.

It's not me in the avatar.

Up on the directional pad will turn of ghosts/lines [default button], or you could assign a button of your choice in the options menu.

I'm sure the GSX-R is faster since it is mostly on the top 100. I want to see how much slower I am comparing to the max potential Lotus Elise 111R can offer so I can see the gap between myself and fast driver like you.

Regarding the "ghost" (damn, I didn't know we have haunted ghost in game lol), can you choose which ghost to display instead of displaying all ghosts?

When i saw this one, i immediately had an deja vu. We had this one in GT5 as well, almost a year ago. But that one was with 500PP. Shame cos i would have to see who the times compared. Here are the results from then http://www.mygranturismo.net/rankings.php?sec=3&board=147
Ended up 21st then. Same place i have atm. If nobody pushed me down in the mean time

Currently on a 1:00.7xx I really hate those last 2 corners. I always seem to lose a lot there :grumpy:

@et_ Thanks for the tune, feels great 👍

I've done 1:02.9 in the Lotus with a basic tune [224bhp@900kg] using DS3, but I can see there is a 1:01.9 @ pos#300 on the LB and a 1:02.7 @ pos#939 and quite a few in the 1:03s.

Ghost lines cannot be chosen, unfortunately, It's the closest ten in front of or around your time, or none at all.

You should go to this thread and give it a like for support and maybe voice your views and opinion on it.

Thank you for your effort. So it seems like I can still have 3 seconds or so potential improvement.

Regarding the ghost, didn't you say "Up on the directional pad will turn off ghosts/lines" but we can't choose a particular friend's ghost to display right? How comes we can save the replay from stranger such as top 10 and have that 1 ghost running? I want to have 1 ghost from a friend instead.

Yes, the up button turns them all off, including your own ghost. There are no other choices.

I've uploaded the files for my Lotus replay here if you want to see where you could improve and use it as a ghost to chase for a better lap time....
Unzip it to a flash drive and copy it to your PS3.

Thanks so much for your tremendous help. How do i copy it to PS3?
When this event expire, how can I run your ghost anymore or run a data logger? It seems like I have to go to the event first.

Once you've downloaded it [right click, save link as] you will need to unzip it to a 'Fat32' formatted flash drive, then insert that into the PS3 and go to 'Save Data Utility' in the XMB scroll to 'USB Device' and press 'x' .. then on the replay file press '▲' then 'x' .. wait a few seconds for it to copy and you're done. After that when you load GT6 you will have to import the replay into the game via the gallery and it's menu on the far right.

I don't think the replay will be usable anywhere else after the event's expiration other than to just watch it from the gallery and in the data logger to compare with other replays from the event.

They are usable as ghosts in single player time trial.

Improved to 01:01:256...rank 88!
I love Tsukuba. It was in one of the first seasonals in GT6 with the Lancia Delta HF. You guys remember?
Here's my attempt:

Edit: Improved again to 01:01:138

Nice that you mention me in the video:)
I watched the lap, and I can see some things you can do to improve. for starters you shift up a bit too late, the best shift point is 11000 rpm and especially on the back straight I noticed you passed 12000 RPM. In 1'st corner you lost alot of time with that little slide, but other than that your line was spot on. In 2'nd corner you might want to brake later, but turn in quite early, imagine taking the corner like a V, fast in, slow turn, and fast out;) and dont hit the inner kerb:)
Then there is the harpin leading onto the back straight, your line is good, but it seems you get on the throttle a bit late...
Otherwise nice driving!

Thanks! I love to do these vids, and I'm more than happy to mention a good tune!
I will try to improve more, but at this point its very hard. I know the first corner isn't perfect, but making the change is very difficult. Like I know what I do wrong, but my hands do it every time :D:D

My time is 1:01.647 I think I be on this TT for another day at least to I find something in the GSX-R/4 Concept '01 that makes it go a bit faster.

I quite like Tsukuba, and even did the MX-5 endurance in GT5! So jumped into the GSX-R for this and golded first lap. Though I'm sure that's karma for the amount of times I had to try the seasonal expert race round Le Mans!

The soapbox GSX-R is nothing more than a piece of junk.
Hell, I'm faster with a Clio RS than with the GSX-R. Got gold with the Clio after 1 lap. How is this possible?

The Clio RS is way easier to handle and i think golden it isn't hard with a car like that

I've got a few laps in and I'm currently sitting at a 1:00.551 for 14th. I'm using a modified version of the @et_ setup, so thanks for that buddy!

A few laps :scared:  Nice lap time Andrew

Mind sharing your modified tune

Everything is the same, except both dampers are running at 2/2, toe angle is -0.15/-0.05, and the LSD is at 5/33/10
