Well fellas, I ran some laps at Melbourne last night. Melbourne is not a good track for me but I was right impressed with my pace :indiff: I dropped 1.6 seconds off my previous fast lap and was consistantly 0.75 seconds faster :sly: My biggest problem will be keeping it between the curbs :scared::nervous::lol:

Me also, don't exatly like Melbourne as such, more of Monaco or Hungary guy but my lap times are improving as well, did a race and lapped consistently in low 1:26's and had an odd 1:25 every now and again.

Wasn't a bad race for me, other than a massive shunt after my first pit stop when I got a huge lag spike as Hemi passed me :dunce:
But otherwise fairly dull, managed to nail my qualy lap first time and had a good start to the race. All my pit stops went well and other than the lag-shunt I had very few penalties.
I equalled my qualy lap with my fastest lap, 1.26s, I had quite consistent pace throughout the race really. Shame I couldn't have held onto Hemi for longer.

Getting a bit lonely at the back of the pack

I qualified 4th and was happy with that. On the second lap i got a 3second penalty and i was down to 6th. All the way up to the first pit stop i was only 2 seconds off nev. Lucky for me kakundoo made a major mistake coming out the last bend and im up in 5th. I followed nev all the way till i pit still 2 seconds away from him but was never getting any slip stream so i pitted early. All i could hope for was mistakes from the front runners but it didn't come. As nev came out the pits there he was still 2 seconds in front 4 laps left and i got to say the worst 4 laps you will ever see so i ended up in 5th.

Off to imola next where i'm hoping for a good points finish.

I got irritated because I was sooo much slower than everyone else, it was no fun at all. I think I'm gonna get rid of my copy of F1:CE and buy F1 2010 which hopefully will be compatable with the DFGT, and while Im at it i'll get myself a wheelstand so I can actually use the wheel (I've used it 3 times in the 6 months I've had it)

Just out of interest, how many of you guys use the DS3/sixasis for the championship?

I've used my trusty DS3 for all the championships. 👍 Never been able to afford a wheel or had the space for it, hopefully this time next year will be different, but it depends on finding a decent job.
Its just practice Scoop, but I can understand your frustration with no one to race. Its a shame PJ hasn't been showing up as he was a good middle-ground between us.

Hi Guys,

Tables updated.

First of all I would like to apologise to F1MadAd for the car selection mix up, hopefully this is sorted now.

Here is my race report:-

I had an exceptionally great qualifying, with an extremely lucky 1:22.9 lap on my final run, but a PB 👍 Looking at the Qualy times from 2nd to 6th it was very close, just half a second separates the 5 drivers.

Another good start and during the early laps my team mate Kak was behind me up until the first round of stops and then sort of disappeared from the radar, not sure what happened :guilty:

After exiting my pitstop I hit the pitlane/track line and ended with a penalty and then noticed that F1MadAd had now moved up to second place and was very close to me, I knew that I could not afford any mistakes. I lost my concentration with 3 laps to go and spun it between turns 11 & 12, the car started to go backwards but I managed to control the spin and just avoided hitting the wall. From that point I just cruised home as 1 more mistake would have cost me the win.

It was a fantastic debut for F1MadAd finishing 2nd very close behind me, and a brilliant 4th place for DonkeyFuzz who just missed out on a debut podium to that slippery duck who just somehow always manages to pull it out of the bag 👍

Thanks all and see you at Imola, where I put my money on King for the win :nervous:

Qualified 5th, Finished 2nd

First race with this league. Had a good practice session, which gave me confidence for the race. Only managed to qualify 5th, as i couldn't get a good lap together. GYLES got Pole with a ridiculous time of 1:22.9, thats what i call a hot lap! But with Colls Off i find grid position doesn't really matter too much, as long as your near to the front. All very close for the first few laps, and i made up some places fairly quickly. When it all shook out, i was running 3rd, with GYLES storming away up front, KAK just ahead in 2nd, and DUCK chasing me in 4th. Stayed the same for a while until KAK got a penalty at the fast chicane, which moved me up into 2nd. GYLES was too far ahead, so realistically i was aiming to hold on to 2nd. DUCK was threatening for the rest of the race, but i slowly eeked out a gap, and drove consistenly to finish 2nd. Well done to GYLES for a great drive to the win. Really happy to get such a good result on my first race. Sorry to DUCK for the misunderstanding about the Williams, i'm fine with the Honda now. Imola next i believe, which is a real good track for me, so i'm hoping to have another strong race there :D

(Scoop, i use a standard pad, never used a wheel in my life lol)

Hi all, just wanted to say super race as I finished 4th on my debut and 0.7-0.8 seconds behind Duck, had fun racing against Duck, there was a lot of pressure. Well done to Gyles (Fishfash) to win a 3rd race and well done to F1MadAd who finished 2nd on his debut. Also well done to everybody else! See you at Imola, PS: Is there a chance of starting races at 9 or 10, just wondering.

If you are no longer having fun playing in the Championship then playing with the DFGT will give you a much better experience 👍 Do you want to give that a try before selling your copy of F1CE, or even leaving the championship ?

Unfortunately there are around 4-5 drivers who can't make this time :)

One of my worst race performances ever I would say :(
Second was a bit of a surprise for me, and my time was the best i'd done all week, so I was happy, especially with the little amount of practice I got in.
Unfortunately I got a bad start and went back to 4th, but soon recovered my positions.
I was pulling away from the rest of the pack and was more than complacent with finishing second, but after the first round of pitstops F1MadAd got by me, but again I was happy with second. But I made an error and got a penalty on that fast chicane/straight combination which cost me some places :(
Then I proceeded to make a huge mistake in the last corner, costing me my front wheel and even more places. This was to be exasperated by me damaging my front wing, so that it was red. So my lap times left a lot to be desired for a couple of laps until I thought it would be okay to pit without having to pit 3 times in the race.

6th really isn't good enough, especially because a podium finish was possible, so i'm pretty disappointed but will try and come back stronger in Imola.

Some of you guys should come for late night practice with me and duck we just finished a session im finding my speed again at imola.

I found out why ginty didn't make the race his mum broke her arm so he was up the hospital with her.

I would, but I don't usually go on my PS3 at night unless it's a weekend. You'll probably see me online because i've left it on, but I'll usually go on there when I get home from College or something.
I don't have that much time to practice during the week anymore :/

Well, another good qualifying wasted by a sub-par performance :ouch: 3 penalties and a broken front wing :banghead: It took me 10 laps just to get in the 1:24's again  and when I went in for my second pit stop, the game mysteriously put me back at the begining of pit in :odd: costing me another 7 or 8 seconds :grumpy: not that it would have helped me  The good is that race is done and fishfash racked up another win 👍 The bad is I'm not very good at Imola either 👎:yuck::D

Duck mate i won't be online tonight as the network thing thats going on.

As soon as 12am hits it finally lets me sign in

Sure, I'll be happy joining Arrows Grand Prix with you. Also do my points from Fisichella GP get transferred as if so Arrows moves up one place with 13 points.:) See you you Friday.

Is there any possibilities of pusing the races up one hour so I can make it early?

Not sure at the moment, could you try for the next few weeks and see how it goes with the normal time ?

Yes the points will be carried over, I will do that over the weekend.

So we have one more seat available :)
