1999 Mark Blair Vauxhall Vectra

I've always had a deep-seated love for this colour scheme for no particular reason. It's... superb.

The irony of ADR Accident Repair Centre sponsoring a car in the BTCC

I bet that a handful of you guys dislike it, but I think that the Special Crocodile livery was easily one of the best liveries ever created. It's obscure, it's silly, it's something that you never thought you'd see on a race car, but it's awesome looking. This livery was used for the 2000 Audi R8 LMP, which competed in the Race of a Thousand Years. It also won.

It definitely does.

I was inspired to try it on the first RS4 Avant in Forza and it looked superb on it.

Don't know if someone has posted it already - not going to read through 40 pages.
Mercedes 190E sponsored by Sonax
First one is from the 1992 season (Group A) - this particular car won the championship.

Second car is from the 1993 season, where they abandoned Group A in favor of Class 1, which was way more advanced.

The first one is pretty much the first car i think about when someone mentions old school DTM.

It's far too early to consider the 2016 liveries as some of "the best" without time to settle them in.

I still maintain that it's a reaction to seeing something colourful on the grid more than it being an instant classic. Admittedly it's a decent livery and I look forward to seeing it on the telly instead of the blilver brigade.

The lack of sponsors makes it look better. I've always thought that too many sponsors, or a misuse of sponsor decals, makes a lot of modern liveries an absolute mess.

If Ron Dennis is right, the age of the title sponsor is over. If so, we might see more and more teams running sponsor-less (or at least sponsor-lite) designs. And I like that idea. Manor, McLaren, Mercedes and Renault are practically devoid of sponsors.

Yes but there's a reason McLaren don't have sponsors any more.

Are Ferrari still technically Marlboro Scuderia Ferrari or did that finally end a year or two ago? They've been together for donkeys years and I wonder whether they'll bother to go with a new title sponsor.

They have diversified to produce road cars and establish strategic partnerships with the likes of GSK.

Technically, it ended; it's no longer a part of the team name. But I'm pretty sure Phillip Morris own all of the space on the car and sell that space to Ferrari's sponsors.
