What time GMT is your race tonight? I can't seem to get the time conversion right. I'm out of work today at 3pm my time central USA. I think your racing will start before I get home but would like to race with you all if I make it home on time. I think you are 6 hrs ahead of me. Maybe the next race if I am off. Have a good race. Obi-Tonobi
Good to hear from you 👍 If I'm right too you are correct with your time conversion. It should be about 14.00 CST when I open the lobby at 20.00 GMT, assuming we are both correct of course.

Hey dudes! :-)

I'll be rushing home after work to try and get in on this if you'll have me? Few lads in here know me already so can vouch for my cleanly credentials.

If I'm ok to play drop me a friend request at Shin_Roh and I'll add when I get home later. Cheers

As things stand, I don't see why not. I'll try to get you added some point soon.

Oh!! Haha.. I thought the race started at 5:30! :dopey: Needn't have rushed lol. Got out of work early though ;)

OP says first come first serve as far as racers go, is this AFTER the active members are all in?

Also anyone hosting a practice session before the event? As for the single make race are we allowed to change rims and paint the car?

1st the 17.30 is the track setting for the race. So it's pretending to be in West Greenland tonight

2nd the active member list is for people who have turned up on repeated occasions. A particular race might not be to everyone's taste so I try to just take it as it comes. Those that express an interest and such.

3rd I won't be on much before 20.00 so I won't be practicing any earlier than that. You will have at least half an hour to warm up before the lights go out, if that's adequate.

I'll start by saying, last night's race was awesome. Admittedly there were a few niggles with the qualifying session, but now I know, I'll stick with what I know.

My race started well with a good launch but then fell to pieces shortly afterwards. I found myself at the back of the pack unable to find my rhythm. With a bit of time and space I regained my composure and started to hunt down the competition. I was very pleased to make it to almost the middle of the grid but alas a few bad decisions and missed braking points meant I wouldn't place as high as I was aiming.

Congratulations @lombardo, you looked like you were having a good time mixing it up with @Goodwolf for quite a few laps. I was looking forward to battling with you myself until I saw you run wide after turn 1 on a couple of laps and took my opportunity. I hope you had fun and that we will see more of you in future races 👍
@Captain Roh I see your quite the seasoned driver. You certainly put in a good show with minimal practice 👍 hopefully we'll see you again too.
A mention also for AlexR80 who was using his new DFGT for his first proper competitive race and doing it without the srf he's used to.
I almost can't wait to get some photos done. If you know of something I should try to capture, please let me know.

On to the next order of business. Everyone can prepare a 500pp car. Usual rules apply,
  • No Race, Rally, RM or Tuner cars allowed
  • Use no more than 5% engine limiter if de-tuning is needed to fit 500pp
  • Sports Hard tyres only
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

All that remains is for me to ask the victor from the race @weescotman To select a track for the 15th of February.

A true epic battle over 20 odd laps with gary last night. Amazing combo, wasn't sure about the ff drive train, last time i drove one was the first couple of races on gt6. Great to see so many turn up also. Will put my thinking cap on and let you all know what track i pick, and i might surprise some with my choice. Cant wait to see the pics now!

Yeah, great racing everyone. First few laps was very close up at the front, but in the end I couldnt match Will, Capt D and Shins pace. I dropped back to 4th place, and for the entire rest of the race was battling to keep ahead of Bo. Goodwolf joined the party a bit later, and the last few laps were very tense. Well done Gary on a great combo.

Hey CTR Driver,

Thanks first and foremost for hosting and I personally had a great time. I did indeed have a good battle early doors with @Goodwolf but couldn't stick with him and once he'd gone, that was it - never to be seen again. I too was looking forward to battling with you @CTR Driver but sadly my consistency wasn't there and the off at the second corner (the first sharp 3rd gear left hander) put pay to that happening.

Well done to all - I thought it was a great race and the encounters I had with cars were clean so praise to all indeed. From what I could see on the mini-map, it certainly looked like a good battle going on in the larger group of cars.

For some reason I had to limit my engine to ensure I hit the PP limit - not sure why as I ensured I had SRF off. Anyways, no biggie as I had fun regardless. The race certainly highlighted my need to be more consistent.

Am already looking forward to the next race and I'll be sure to have the mic charged up - might even change my name by deed poll to Gary!

Thanks again

...For some reason I had to limit my engine to ensure I hit the PP limit....
There was no need to de-tune the car to meet a pp limit this time around it was just supposed to be a stock spec race. Something simple to kick things off. So it seems you were in an underpowered car. Which might go part way to explain why I managed to escape you so easily. I think I may have mistakenly posted the pre oil change values, so apologies for misleading you.

#WERETAKINGOVER

And @LAMatrix waiting for you too for the 10 minutes left of the grace period.
I'm really sorry guys... I didn't know how the things are supposed be done... I was waiting for a message (to confirm that I was accepted) before the race date. Sorry again... Next time I will be more attentive!

I have accepted your friend request. Thank you! Unfortunately, I didn't see you online...
I Think a restart of the PS3 is needed, maybe on both ends, But don't quote me on that.

The next race on the 15th of February is the next one on the calendar and this time needs a 500pp car. You have an almost free choice bearing in mind the 5% rule.
Once I know the next track I shall update the calendar and try to plan something in the way of practice sessions. Which aren't mandatory but it will give people a chance to see the competition and set up their cars, with some assistance if it's needed from the others there at the time.

Nice!!! So, it's a 500pp street car, am I right?

  • Any production road car (OK)
  • No concept, race, rally, RM or tuner cars allowed (What dou you mean by "tuner car"?)
  • Tune this car to 500pp any way you like using no more than 5% engine limiter (What kind of tune is allowed?)
  • Sports Hard tyres only (OK)

When I say "tuner car" I mean, for instance, amuse, mugen and spoon, where their base model may be originally be a Honda S2000. Other examples would be TRD(Toyota). If it's sold in the garage of the car manufacturers eg Mercedes AMG, that's fine just not independent tuning garages.

As for "What kind of tune is allowed?" You can use any parts available for your choice of car but if for example they come to 502pp then de-tuning is needed. In this case the engine limiter can be used but I request that you take it no lower than 95%(the 5% rule). This is to stop people putting all the parts on the car and creating a massive power band by de-tuning to the maximum possible. Other ways of changing the PP value are to use ballast and alter downforce.

Hopefully this doesn't create more questions than it answers 👍

Thank you CTR! Let me know about the chosen track as soon as you know.
