Here are the pictures I managed to take of 500pp club @ THE RING. A big thank you to Gtp_Ade for the replay

A first for 500pp club, 16 on the grid. Some of them unfamiliar with the rules. But C'mon 16

Yeah it handles fantastic, downside was its speed.Great shots Gary 👍
Cobani's Elise had 20mph on you on the faster sections. Had he not clipped the grass and spun the car, the lead may have switched in the final corners.
It was exciting to watch. I almost forget I was supposed to be taking pictures.

I have two of them set up as well, one with diffuser and the other without. The 20PP it consumes are massive and the top-speed is lowered drastically, that's not counting the loss of speed from the extra power you can install with the 20PP.

I would have chosen the diffusered version anyways if I attended, the handling is a bit more important on the green hell.

Here come the graphics

Please bear in mind that potentially faster drivers will be behind you. You will not be required to move out of their way but practice good race craft and use good judgement.
Don't let a 30 second battle ruin two or more peoples races

I am interested in joining for the next race if it's not too late. I'm a clean, fair and competitive driver, and I use a wheel. If there is still space could you share some more information and what do do next. Cheers

Jack

Edit: just realised that the race is on a Saturday night. Don't know if I can do that haha we will see. :)

I should be able to get a friend request to you this evening. There's plenty of time between now and race day to determine if you will be there. It looks like you're well practiced at tuning 500pp cars 👍

Sound man no rush, I wont be on this evening but I can make it on tomorrow afternoon I think. I have a busy schedule throughout the week training in the evenings, work isn't too good at the moment so have more free time in the day.

I'm definitely keen to join some sort of racing club, and I should be able to make the date, but I do love my Saturday nights out so we will see. I never really go much higher than 500pp, and I am looking foward to tuning some cars to compete in this series. So chances are you will see me haha.

Look foward to meeting up on the track! 👍

Is the ktm xbow street allowed? I don't know if you could call it a road car so much as a toned down race car .

Off hand I would say it isn't allowed. But you have to remember the rules were written for gt5 where the X-bow didn't exist.

If it's lap times are much quicker than the 1:36-1:40 second lap times I'm expecting then I would say no again. But I would have to see what it can do before making a "ruling"

I just thought of a nice little rule that could be implemented to prevent overly fast cars being overused and driver migration to the fastest 500pp cars.

How about locking the race winner out of the car he used for 1-2 races. If he wins with a model he'll have to use a different one on the next race(s). It would certainly add a bit of variety, in the GT5 events the RX-7 felt like it was overused a bit and it won the Nürburgring event again. A harsher variant could lock the entire grid from using the car.

I could get on board with that idea. Considering the dominance that the rotary cars have displayed. It seems a lot more considered than an outright ban.
As the cycle for the Brands Hatch GP race is underway I won't enforce this until the next cycle. However, if theewar( I will go with the individual/race winner route) is able or already considering using a different car of his own accord then I feel it has already happened. If I don't update the op in a timely fashion after the next race, please, someone feel free to remind me.

By saying :"If it's lap times are much quicker than the 1:36-1:40 second lap times" does it mean you have tested it and you're doing aroung 1.36.xxx ?

No. I've not managed to try the X-bow in any way apart from one of the driving missions. But my lazy(using the Nürburgring tune) win at a 500pp a spec race clocked me a 1:42 with running off track. So the window of 1:36-1:40 is an estimate, based on your 1:38 and my experience so far.

Got a few cars under 1:36 by getting a bit of setting work done. The X-Bow Street however got an easy 1:34.2 with the first setup I tried. That thing is way too fast and should not be allowed in my opinion. That was a lousy lap as well...

Your ability compared to mine is somewhat greater, so I would expect no less than you getting to the "36" end or better than my estimate. And you have confirmed my suspicion about the X-bow. Thanks for going to the effort. 👍👍👍
