Just a thought but shouldn't we at least have one practice session before the race this weekend? Just a light bulb moment I had lol
You picked this track
Joking aside, I will be approaching this one carefully, and I strongly advise anyone else who has had minimal track time here to do so too.

You run and organise the club tho, lol I'll make a room soon so send me a friend request and I'll let you know when I'm up and running.

I've finally got around to putting in some track time at materhorn. My first impression is,
it's very narrow.
With this in mind, I'm thinking of using a fastest first grid. That way we hopefully shouldn't have the first corner issue that caused a restart last time out and when it does get to faster drivers coming to lap/overtake, the field should have thinned and make that overtake safer for all concerned.
Damage will be heavy
Track time will be 11:50 (default)
Time progression set to 1.

A note to the faster drivers. PLEASE be patient with your overtakes of the slower guys. This appears to be a very demanding track.
My best time is 1:52, to give you an idea of what I have managed but I am aware of times of 1:43. I spent most of my session facing the wrong way
Only you will know how you stack up against these times.
Please let me know your thoughts on the normal grid.

Grid sounds good, or keep it reverse and set damage to light. I can see the down hill section catching a lot of folk out and possibly ruining someone else's race.

I don't mind the revers grid, I wanted a restart because I got damaged badly by others and someone parking mid corner at druids. Repairing damage lap 1 nets me a 1-2 sec disadvatage per lap and faster wear due to the tyre bug, lap1 is still an excellent point to restart. I'm fully aware that there are slower drivers ahead, I'm much more patient than most as I never try to force myself past, but even I get caught out when someone is extremely slow mid corner and doesn't drive a predictive flow.
I believe he was using the wheel first time, but with heavy damage and a revers grid its a bad time to learn. It kind of upset me, so I called for a restart, otherwise I would have dropped out.

So in essence I'm still for the reverse grid start, on tighter tracks more patience needs to be shown. You can pressure people into mistakes quite easily (happens to me all the time) and don't have to resort to bumping/forcing a pass. Its my only gripe with online racing, you don't lose $600 per scratch on the car and race accordingly.

Not all the time. Great driving last race from you kept me back with no room to pass, and I was in a faster car.👍

@CTR Driver I would also like to see faster drivers in front. There will be plenty of excitement trying to stay on track and not get damaged. Fighting someone here will be a real mind game.

Yes, BST it is. If your clocks haven't changed recently this race is an hour earlier than usual.

Once again Weescotman won the race at Matterhorn. To become king of the mountain.
Things may have ended very differently had Capt_D not suffered damage. He was certainly driving his shelby series one "like he stole it".

Anyway, onto new business. As you know @weescotman gets choice of next race. But this time it's a little different. His choice is between two pre-set combinations of stock spec races.

Option 1, Honda NSX Type R '02 @ Suzuka

Option 2, Mitsubishi Evo X '10 V's Subaru Impreza STI sedan '07 @ Tsukuba with variable weather.

Oh man, both combinations are great!

There's only one choice really! Let's go nsx-r suzuka. No 4wd please, it's too easy then. And does that mean we can't even play with the suspension then? Totally standard, down to driver skill (or lack off) alone? Lol

Pretty much all of the above.
Weather doesn't make it easy when you are only allowed Sports Hard Tyres :mischievous:

I forgot to ask you on Sunday if you have any plans to do it again. Very nice surprise! 👍
I'm not sure if I'll be home but I will be practicing with you guys.

It's a short notice so it's very good that the tuning is prohibited.

My apologies again for the short notice. I've had a move and 3 children's birthdays to take care of. But you don't need to hear me crying about it

With the details still being finalised, ynot has managed to make it so that we race in the same private lounge as last time around.
Please send a friend request to;

ReadyOrNot_2

If you don't have it on your list already.
Thanks
