Great improvement 👍 Guess i'll have to try the high Turbo. I just fear it'll mess up the trans settings!?! I'll be back for more late tonight...
I thought myself, thought i was losing a couple of tenths on the straights but theres very little difference.... I didnt change mine trans from the low turbo setup and im still hitting the same times... It makes traction better in the first 3rd of the circuit... Only thing i found is it doesnt shed speed quite as quick. Caught me out a few times at final corner trying to slow to 80 then nail it round...

Cheers mate , I would appreciate it if you didn't go any faster now though, I was certain I could fine some more time so made some setup changes, I've ruined the setup now though and can't remember what I was using :banghead:.

I'm done for the day, kids are home from school now and the missus wants some attention tonight so, @Evo19uk is my target tomorrow.

Keep pushing fellas, lets try and give @RacingLine a bit more competition! :D

@RacingLine are you sure 30s are out of the question?
Great time, Shooter's going to have his work cut out, your still p1 as of 11:55am UK time. Thanks for the brake bias tip too, finally broke the 32s with a 1:32.740 which is good enough for 43rd overall at the moment, only a half second off @Evo19uk

I have found I can make up roughly a half a tenth on you in the final corner and run to the finish line though.

Thanks again. :)

30s are very much possible, i just need to nail each sector with PB times :)

It'll come brother, the way you and Shooter are pushing each other it's going to have too, routing for you though, I think anyone who breaks the 30s will stay at the top until the end of this one.

Don't suppose you fancy sharing your setup do you? I get the feeling it may suit my driving style and could possibly increase competition between the rest of us lesser mortals ;)

My setup is far from stable, an example is if you compare shooters lap vs mine. But then again he uses AS so he has the advantage. Just keep practicing and follow the lines we take and you should improve, It's all in the mind, i think i can't go any faster but eventually you find the time.

Senior player with DS3 still in the competition!:sly:

Tried the high turbo -was up by 0.196 on my ghost at T1 but couldn't match the low-range turbo-speed in the fast sector. Went back to old set-up, only now Minimum rear ride height and got a 1:32.317. A 0.201 improvement: Must've been partly due to the bag of peanuts i was having with my beer...
EDIT: Hell, that must've been two beers: I only realized now, that i did my lap without AS!

Nice one! Guess I'll have to go again... Getting interesting at the top. 👍

OK yesterday I did what mr Roweer ordered me to do...I bought an Asparadrink RX7 `06 (OK Roweer told me to buy the Base Model, but Aspara and Base are the exact same car) and gave it mr praianos tune...It was horrible...Understeer understeer understeer...Not mr praianos fault this car understeers of course, and I could tell by looking at the settings that praiano tried to fight against understeer in some degree (low rear end, tight rear ARB and a few things more). But on my ps3/GT6 combo it understeered so badly, I couldn´t even get through the very first curve efter the start line. A lot of restarts, and finally I managed a complete lap at around 1.35.9xx...About the same I achieved in my WedsSport Celica...

So I skipped the priaiano tune, and made a tune myself...Still understeer, but a little better. One can`t cure understeer; one can only fight it...So I managed my best result so far, 1.35.487, which ranked me 616 when I turned system off...

To be no 616 is a very fine achevement but...It would be satisfying if it was a few tenhts of a second from the top. But it is still around 4 seconds worse than the Worlds best controller driver, some Brazilian guy named CRT Apex...

Of course I studied his replay...As far as I can see, we are doing about the same driving lines. The 2 major differences are that he does a lot of short shifting, due to him using the "low rpm turbo" I presume. - I don`t use turbo at all; I tried, but I`m faster without it, so I don`t short shift as much as mr CRT Apex...The other big differnce is that he just slams the throttle to the bottom out of the curves, especilally in the tight left hander that leads to the back straght...It doesn`t look like a lot of gentle, careful throttle handling, he just floors it..When I try that...OMG..Complete pirouette spin out, and my car orbits Saturn the second after...I don`t understand that..Man I would like to see what those controller aliens could do on MY ps3/GT6 combo, with my controller...No friends, this is NOT meant as an excuse for my own poor skills, this because it is PUZZLING me...And because I can`t see, how on Earth it should be possible to gain 4 sec, just by driving better. Bits and bytes behaving differently in our ps3s...???
What if a few bytes didn`t "bite" on the harddiisc when installing the game back in time??? That could mean data loss, and other interpretations in the machine. We are all experiencing different errors and glitches right?? hmmm please don`t bite my head clean off...It just seems impossible to gain 4 secs...Perhaps on a "fewer-hot-lap" I could gain 1 sec, but it seems very very hard to get down to 1.35 clean...1.35.487 so far, and that was not easy...   :gtpflag:

OK yesterday I did what mr Roweer ordered me to do...I bought an Asparadrink RX7 `06 (OK Roweer told me to buy the Base Model, but Aspara and Base are the exact same car)

I tried the Aspara RX7 'banana-man' before going to the base model.
The base model still understeers compared to the wedsport but the wedsport is MR so this is to be expected.
What I did find is that the Aspara 'aspartame' model snaps into oversteer like crazy compared to the base model with same tune.
Get the base model, I guarantee you'll be able to mash the accelerator to your hearts content.

Just goes to show that Aspartame really is bad for you.

Thanks for Your caring reply there :D OK I will try the Base thing... I have already bought it, at the same time I bought the Aspartame stuff. Just found that one better looking than the Base, so I decided to run the drug... Tonight it´s Base time...OK...;)

FML

The worst thing is I've made time on that lap in every part of the track.. I really don't understand how it was that fast

I'm doing 18.7 first sectors, and I just can't nail the 18.4's that top guys are doing.. If I could do one of them, or even an 18.5 I'd be down to the 31's :banghead:

Im running 18.6 now mate. Had a couple of 18.5s
Iv sorted all corners out now.., always following MTTI and Saidur now, like half a car max behind for 3/4s of lap for majority of time. Im usually only a touch infront of u... Then there will be just one little moment that will ruin the whole lap... Slight wobble on the rear... Or unexpectedly it starts to slip when im at the very very final stage of exiting a corner... Iv already got rid of virtually all steering input and been aT full throttle for like a second or two already so it seems stable/planted, no where near the slippery edge/curb then WHAM.... Slippy as hell or massive rotation on the rear Im starting to just not care anymore... I know im good for a 31. If PD doesnt wanna give it me then whatever lol

Turn that Active Steering off aswell.... MASSIVE advantage in this seasonal... Then u really see how delicate u have to be with throttle if your line/rotation is just a spot off... U can always see the difference in every seasonal to me but the margins wernt always as big it seems... Its on rails on this event with AS on... Im all for using whatever suits u as a driver or slowly building ur way up as ur developing etc but for some reason since the start of this seasonal i just feel like iv cheated every single lap iv set....looking at leaderboards now and if these aids were banned i just wonder how different they would be. Shooters a great driver, no question about it... He doesnt always use AS etc but the fact it makes it so easy on this seasonal i dont think he deserves to take that top spot. Absolutely full credit to the talent the lads have shown from these forums doing it all without

Bro your lap has AS on strong..
Exactly haha and the last two days iv been running without, dont want to use it at all... Spent around 600 miles without abd been on for that 31 over 10 times.. Always know it because i pull ahead of saidur... I turned it back on last night in frustration because of all the time iv wasted last day or two, ran 4 laps and instantly took another tenth and i backed of at last two corners, few mile n an hour slower just so i could bank a faster one. Was absolutely sick of the sight of that 32.2

Notice how it was like quarter to 2 in morning... Thats how pissed off i was and why AS got put back on briefly

Not totally sure but I thought you posted that lap today.

To be honest. I don't run with as on strong any more, only mild. And I usually run it if most of the top players are too. I'm looking to gauge myself against top players, so if they're using it, I usually will too.

I didn't use it on the last TT, when most were. One thing I am going to start doing if I'm using AS on a TT is hammering the TT to get my best, then I'll have a few sessions without AS to see the difference
