This track has extremely lenient run off areas. You can actually get a large portion of the car on the grass and it still treats the lap as clean. I would call it cutting. PD says otherwise.

That then is the key to running laps here... how dirty can you get without getting caught?

Funny that it's the exact opposite to real life, usually at Brands they're really hot on people using too much runoff. Some corners are better than others, some gain you quite a bit of time too.

Evora at 550PP was an easy gold by several seconds on my first try.

They even have sensors at the most abused corners, which detect cars going beyond the limits. Offenders get a warning flag the first time, and then a black flag for the second offence. I think it's common to all Jonathan Palmer owned tracks.

I highly recommend the Lotus Espirit. With my very unstable tune I achieved a 1:30.480 and there is plenty more room for improvement.

is there a club for 1.29 ? :D
the mp4 is a good choice here i think.
But i allways mess with the first righthander after the start. I dont know whats wrong here wrong line, breaking, speed ... whatever it never makes me feel comfortable.
Does anyone know my problem ? ;)

Yes it is a tricky turn that first one, I'm still waiting for a good tune. My gears are not good. Are you guys using weight red? Or turbo's with the MP4?

Stock no tune stage 3 power limited MP4-12c makes it too easy.

I'm guessing a full weight MP4 but with more power actually makes it harder.

So far I've tried with the full weight reduction and power limter down. Then tried with stage 3 turbo and only carbon hood and window weight reduction and was much slower. Now I'm on stage 1 weight reduction with hood and windows with the Mid range turbo and it's been my best times so far.

Even with the stage 2 reduction with hood and windows and a Mid turbo I'm getting pretty decent times even though the HP is knocked down to 410hp. Would really need to try all the options on the test track for a few laps each to figure out the best setup.

AWESOME tune, got me a 1:26.975 with very minor diff tweets to fit my skill/driving style.

Feel I have another .500-.800 in it.

Thanks for sharing, duh

I used my lightly modified Sport 350. It's a bit tail happy when going into the corners so I had to go easy on the throttle. Almost had silver, 1:39.

I had the same issue with my Espirit, I was using the premium one (forgot the name) and when entering corners the back would step out meaning you'd be pretty much countersteering your way into a corner which did sacrifice some time.

Sounds like a stable tune, Thanks for share!👍👍

Great time with 1 hand 👍

Worth a try. Adding weight doesn't help I don't think.

My take is that with lower weight you gain more time overall due to less time in the corners. Courses with second third gear corners the effect of more grip and corner speed in those corners is pretty effective at lowering your overall lap time. Power just doesn't seem to make up for it.

It's just a very difficult turn. Off camber and down hill, it does all it can to put you in the sand.

More laps is the cure.

@DrAug

Thanks for sharing your great tune. Also works well with DS3.
After a few tries with your tune went from a 1:28,xxx lap to a 1:26,920 with still some mistakes in my lap.

(Mainly the first corner (Paddock Hill) where I still lose to much, somebody has some bright tips??)

Jag XJ220 was close but no cigar so I joined the masses and used a detuned MP4/12C for a routine 1:32. Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow.

Try beeing smooth... As soon as you feel the car oversteer, use à bit of throttle to keep it straight. Also don't cut the grass, it'll only send you wide in the sandbox ;)
slow in fast out works great around T1 ;)
