@DrAug

Thanks for sharing your great tune. Also works well with DS3.
After a few tries with your tune went from a 1:28,xxx lap to a 1:26,920 with still some mistakes in my lap.

(Mainly the first corner (Paddock Hill) where I still lose to much, somebody has some bright tips??)

Try to play with the LSD(10-25-15) and the height of the car 105-60 not works for me. I use 90-80.

It's just a very difficult turn. Off camber and down hill, it does all it can to put you in the sand.

More laps is the cure.
Yes it does... with great success ;)
i did a lot off laps allready in former events and career but i think i did not get the clue for this corner by now.
break in smoothly sometimes seems to work, breaking wide and turning in hard sometimes seems to work aswell.
sometimes im slow and run off anyway and sometimes I'm coming out of this with 15 to 20 kmh more than i expected and dont know why ...
confusing

Not very often I get the wheel out for a GT session nowadays, but I love Brands and had a couple of hours free yesterday afternoon. Used my old tune as linked by @SilverSE102 on page 2, with shorter final, a bit less rear ride height, no rear wing and diff at 5/20/5.

1:26.005

Frustrated not to get in to the 25's, but still 0.5s left to chase based on best sectors.

I learnt to drive this corner in a Porsche 911 (996) Turbo on a track day with a Formula 3 driver at my side. And I still end up in the sand occasionally!

Awesome time, your tune saved me on many seasonal events. How much did you lower the rear ride height and shorten the final? I kept the rear wing and downforce at 100, changed rear ride height to 70 and final gear to 2.518 and I did change the diff to the 5/20/5. Improved my time to a 1:28.679, with a little more practice with it I should be able to break into the 1:27's. :D:tup:

I think I finished my session at 100/70... but I will try a bigger difference if I run another session - lower rear realtive to front helps reduce understeer.

Not sure what final I ended at - short enough to use most of 7th gear on the back straight, but not quite all of 7th as I wanted to avoid a couple of gear changes on other parts of the track.

Unless you have alien skills, and can drift the rear in to the corners like the super fast guys (I can't!), this one likes a bit of a coast to get the nose in to the apex... so brake, turn, coast (off the power), then you can use all the throttle from the apex as the car has loads of traction. Also, changing down a gear whilst turning helps the car rotate in to the corner :)

Good luck 👍

Thanks, That's what I ended up with for ride height 100/70, for the transmission I never got to 7th gear with my change. I might play with the downforce to see if that helps, I wish I had alien skills it would make things easier. What you described about going around corners is what I am working on, haven't perfected it yet but I am improving. Also I used to rely heavily on AS and TC, but not anymore, right now the only driving AIDS I use is driving line and ABS:1

As always, the trick to going faster is not to push the front too hard going in to the corners... if you push too hard, the front slides (understeer) and then you can't get back on the throttle as when you do, it either pushes more (and you run wide and have to get off the gas) or you get immediate oversteer... so try to focus on getting your entry speed right. It's much, much better to brake a bit earlier, sacrifice some entry speed, but get a really good, fast exit. What you sacrifice on the way in you more than make up all the way along the following straight :)

I wish I was an alien too

For me and the first corner, I brake a bit early (earlier than you think) and I aim for an early apex and cut just a bit of the inside curb. Just a tad... I am in 5th gear while using the MP4 at the apex while feeding in a bit of power carefully to avoid understeering too much.

To me, the smoother braking and turning in a bit early helps to minimize/eliminate understeer. Getting on the throttle early really helps exit speed here. A smooth release of the brakes also helps to avoid upsetting the balance of the car too.

Looks like it will be another IMMORTAL vs. L-shooter showdown. :)

I just cant get my head around why the mclaren is the fastest, every fiber of my body is screaming that the elise 111R should be the go-to car, but it just cant keep up. we have had this british roadcar TT before, but that time the track was eiger nordwand, so maybe the tighter nature of of the track favours the elise there. but then again when there was a rally car TT there, the faster, less grippy RSC was superior...
This is bugging me, I really should be able to figure out what car to use, but this is the second time in a very short time that I get it wrong... :(

Lol, have you seen my driving?
maybe if I backed off on entry aswell, I could go even faster, I've been slow lately. :P

DTM
Chris @Stotty you came out of your winter sleep  So did i. After a little over a year of absence i recently joint a few WRS. And this one looks like a great seasonal. Love the track. Brings back some good memories. Miss the good old times sometimes with the others, you know ;)

Hey Dennis 👍

Doubt this will be coming back in a serious way - Spring is here and as the weather improves I'll be out playing golf and fishing as much as possible :)
