How did they know they were SAS?

A bungled mission, but they got away with it.

Some of the more hawkish Brit and US talking heads have been making noises about "no fly" zones. Whaddya think, blaaah, are you for imposing a no fly regime over Kookoo in order to give the Libyans a fighting chance to depose him?

This little SAS commando fiasco would seem to be a bad omen for Imperial intervention of almost any kind.

The thing is, the Libyans don't want anyone's help.

Some do, some don't. I think a distinction should be made between help as in aid, food and water etc and help as in invasion to take out Gaddafi or assasinations.
I'm pretty sure most Libyans would like the former.

Nice one noob . But to answer your question omnis, my guess would be that it was an official operation, when they got caught they just used their real id's and statuses to get out, or they figured that the normal army don't carry "espionage equipment, reconnaissance equipment, multiple passports".

I still don't think any of these theories are true, and I don't think they really were SAS, but this is all I can come up with.

My first post was a joke too. The picture kind of goes with it.
