Somewhat surprised to see a lot of the posted tunes using turbo upgrades and lots of limiter... I think the car is better with engine stg 3 and an oil change... less torque makes it easier to drive.

1'16.2 after an hour - another .5 or so left, but struggling in T3.

Tried a few of the posted tunes, but none have enough entry rotation for me, so butchered together something using max front/min rear ride.

I thought the same thing, if you can reach 600PP without turbo, then that should be the best way...
Could it be that the HSV is so peaky in the power output that a turbo makes it better because you get a wider powerband?

I've tried the tune from @LLOYDZELITE69 and I can't drive fast. My best time is .17.089, with his tune best I did .17.3xx, the 6th gear is strange, watching his
Video and hearing the gearbox, hmmm, for me it don't sound like he's having 6th gear so set. This tune is for wheel definitely!!

@Mini Stiggy 'a set up I didn't try, will 2morrow give it a try!

I have today a few hour stint. Tried different setups and came with one that helped me from 17.4 to 17.0. First part of The track I do solid, on the edge, every braking point nailed, but second part specially from corkscrew to start/finish line, I loose like a second there.

The damn corkscrew!!!!!! Hard to nail it right that son of a bi...h!!

Overall, I'll try my best to get under .17, B'coz that's where under my self!

And others, great driving, specially @LLOYDZELITE69, he was behind and manage to regain his 1st position!!

But on the exits it's hard to get it right, specially the 2nd left hander and the left hander be4 the start/finish line!

I'm without a turbo on my way! Smoother and easier to control in my opinion!

I've only watched Lloydz replay out of the top 10, and he's not using a turbo.

not a bad tune @LLOYDZELITE69 however your 6th gear looks a little bit odd :)

I had a quick look at Lloydz tune (haven't had time to drive it yet)... looks like 6th is set for drafting. If you shorten 6th (full right), the ratios look correctly spaced.

Exactly :)

Erm.. hello again all.
First of all: Good tune, Weider.

Story:
So I'm getting used to this tune, very fun, and I get into the 15's after some laps. 15.9, 15.8 but I couldn't improve any further. After a while (I'd say 30 minutes) I nail the first sector, -0.2 up on my PB and I get such a good exit to the turn before corkscrew, apexing at around 108mph which is good for me. After the corkscrew my heartbeat reaches a billion bpm as I'm 0.4 up on my PB, my ghost way back in the mirror. Then I pull off the greatest sectors I've ever done in my life, not because they were fast but because of the circumstances.
My cat jumps in front of the TV as I'm about to brake for the second to last corner and my view of the apex is now blocked by cat. I miss the apex by some margin and I lose lots of time - but there's hope yet. My cat then sits upright in the very center of the screen and looks me in the eye as I go to the right of the road to see the countdown markers for the final turn... I can't see them! My cat tells me through telepathy "This is what you get for giving me the liver flavored Felix for tea". I quickly realize I'm going to need to guess the braking point and I wait until the scenery looks about right and *bang*. I shift down the gears and the corner appears from behind the cat which is now meowing in an attempt to put me off... probably. My ghost in the mirror has closed in and it looks as though I judged the braking right... A miracle! The rest was easy, I accelerated out of the corner, over-steered a bit before setting a 15.704 to go 13th.

*Insert Top Gun theme music* Just imagine I whip on some shades

BB- 5/7

Gearbox- @LLOYDZELITE69's

Diff- 13/11(Decrease if you want less corner exit oversteer, increase for more)/6

Stage 3 engine, no turbo, reduce power

DF- 400/465 (Increase to 500 or higher if you want more stability)

No rigidity improvement

Current time: 15.134 Could be better.

*Bold means it is new
Finally cracked the .1's with a 15.134, which is good for 5th place. I've modded my tune just a little bit.

Overview of the changes:

Rear springs changed from 13.92 to 13.00- Seemed to help acceleration out of the corkscrew.
Front brakes changed from 6 to 5- better rotation on corner entry, especially helps in turn 1. I tried 4, but I felt it didn't have enough braking power.
Gearbox changed to @LLOYDZELITE69 - because it was made for this event. Only thing I did was move 6th all the way to the right.
LSD accel up to 11- less understeer on corner exit. Anything higher than 11 doesn't work with my driving style. I like to mash the throttle as soon as I can out of corners, and 11 is a good setting for me.
Rear DF to 465- Better overall rotation. Doesn't really have any gained in top speed since there aren't any long straights.

Tomorrow I'm going to mess around with toe and camber.

Hope it helps:cheers:(If anyone is even using this:lol:)

Now that I've gotten a .1, I want a 15.0xx. And then eventually a 14:)

1'16.323 for 62nd atm. This is all I could come up with after about an hour. My back is still mega sore from my operation a few weeks ago so this is gonna have to do for now. If there ever was a time for you to beat me @Dalone now's the time. :)

Ha ha, I beat you once before and what did you do while there was still and hour to go? Went right back and beat me.
Or something like that.

Well then, I guess you didn't beat me then did you? :sly: I'm talking about the end result of course because as you should know, nothing really matters until the checkered flag waves.

Anyway, I'm just saying that this TT is probably going to be a bad showing for me because of my healing process.....feel free to take advantage of that. ;)
