Wow...I'm extremely impressed with the times I'm seeing from you guys in this time trial. I need to develop the dedication and determination you all show to improve my own times. This weekend I wasn't extremely busy, so I could have worked on my time trial times, but I didn't...like usual! Oh well, I've got no one to blame buy myself for why I'm not improving.

Erm.. hello again all.
First of all: Good tune, Weider.

Story:
So I'm getting used to this tune, very fun, and I get into the 15's after some laps. 15.9, 15.8 but I couldn't improve any further. After a while (I'd say 30 minutes) I nail the first sector, -0.2 up on my PB and I get such a good exit to the turn before corkscrew, apexing at around 108mph which is good for me. After the corkscrew my heartbeat reaches a billion bpm as I'm 0.4 up on my PB, my ghost way back in the mirror. Then I pull off the greatest sectors I've ever done in my life, not because they were fast but because of the circumstances.
My cat jumps in front of the TV as I'm about to brake for the second to last corner and my view of the apex is now blocked by cat. I miss the apex by some margin and I lose lots of time - but there's hope yet. My cat then sits upright in the very center of the screen and looks me in the eye as I go to the right of the road to see the countdown markers e final turn... I can't see them! My cat tells me through telepathy "This is what you get for giving me the liver flavored Felix for tea". I quickly realize I'm going to need to guess the braking point and I wait until the scenery looks about right and *bang*. I shift down the gears and the corner appears from behind the cat which is now meowing in an attempt to put me off... probably. My ghost in the mirror has closed in and it looks as though I judged the braking right... A miracle! The rest was easy, I accelerated out of the corner, over-steered a bit before setting a 15.704 to go 13th.

*Insert Top Gun theme music* Just imagine I whip on some shades

Thanks Michael "Maverick" Knight, your Kitt Katt is a clever one!

Mini Stiggy (until he had his flux capacitor moment!) also got into the mid 15s in it, and RTRacing's xChris93 is thereabouts too and said there's a lot more to come from it and others!

(Not bad for an average tune, sure beats the donkeys don't it BoRatt!)

Ok, only 11 pages after just couple of days, this one seems really popular.

What's the best power gonfiguration for that HSV?

No turbo, hight ride hight, tight gear boys, low LSD, max downforce, stay focused and avoid sliding as much as possible.

Good luck!

Whatever you say. If others are finding your tune useful, then great. At the end of the day and all that really matters is that I am using a tune that works the best for me......mine. ;)

Oh the Dishonest Donkey is selfish too, not only taking the time to rate my tune average when it clearly isn't but now says his tune is all that matters... now we have probable motive ;)

How can you be offended from one opinion?!

I mean, the tune from lloydzelite is for him the best, which we can see that, but for me the tune is not for me or my style, I'm faster with my own tune. And he's not mad about it!

Problem: bad exit oversteer

Honest tuner: increase rear down force or adjust drivetrains

Dishonest tuner: scrap tune, use my one instead

Lloyd current p1: exit oversteer? More please!

You didn't call Lloyd's tune average, if you did I'd call you mad too lol But to be dishonest man you'd have to be a tuner who ignores a simple solution to a simple perceived problem and say the tune would need to be re-done.

Give it a rest already, damn. You must have some big ego if one little average rating offends you that much. Forget about it already and move on would you.

And you can also stop with the dishonest thing, I am not a liar/cheat ect., which you are insinuating. :grumpy:

With loydz tune I'm actually slower then mine tune. So, general speaking his tune is worse then mine, I'm .17.0, so.....

Accept the think that everyone have their driving styles and I'll prove it to you.

Everyone with controller, let them try the lloydz tune and their improvements. I swear no one will make better times-no one or maybe 1% of them!

So, this is not a critic about you're tune, is just an honest opinion based on testing it....

It offends me because people listen to oafs like you, you go to someone's tune and are dishonest about it, the manner of your rating, the content and your rating itself show that.

I don't want people to be put off an (all tracks) tune that I know now is clearly fast and working in v1.11 because you have ulterior motives.

Ok, for one, I'm not an oaf. And two, there was no ulterior motive. I simply rated the tune how I saw fit. Now please, forget about it and move on, its not the end of the world. I don't enjoy being harassed everytime I post here.

Of course people have different styles, and someone else rated the tune 3* because of that fact.

But the Ratt makes his rating on a false premise:

Car has bad exit oversteer (for his style maybe) but then he goes on to say it cannot be easily remedied, which it can and being the tuner he is, he knows it can. Dishonest.

Ugh...I lose so much time at the corkscrew. I honestly can't see what I'm doing wrong, but my friend's ghost lines really seem to pull away from me through there.

At least I've chopped 1.5s off my time! Thanks for the tune Weider.

I agree, but would you give Lloyd a 1* rat

I would rate his tune when if I improved my time, but I didn't I'm slower with his tune, so, if I would rate his tune it would be 3* as well! .17 is solid time so!

So far as I seen it, you're tune was not optimal for him, so what?! This is not you're fault. When you do you're setups you do it and adapt in yore driving style, but we agree that everyone have different style.

You're tune is much appreciated of course, every tune can improve someone time!

Brake early and go early in the apex, B'coz thee a ideal driving line that will carry you nice through the rest of the damn thing!

You are missing the point. It is not about driving style, fine he said he found it average. But then he gave a reason (bad exit oversteer) and said there was no easy remedy (which there is). That is dishonest. Then given the wording of his rating, it clearly has ulterior motives.

I've tried few setups and everyone have the damn exit oversteer!! LOL!

2nd left hander, extremely oversteer even with LSD 11, not to mention corkscrew, lol, I'm like a ballerina, and the last left hander be4 the start/finish line, 2nd gear back goes dancing.....

Either found a solution, driving without the turbo, max power, **** it. And it's better a bit, the only reason the drivers have big amount oversteer is the damn turbo!

Don't worry about it, just keep up the good work :)

I think you are misunderstanding the correct meaning of "Honest" what you are probably looking for is patient. I'm guessing what you are saying if someone is patient and makes small adjustments to your tune they can adjust it to their driving style, which is generally true with all tunes. But @GTP_CargoRatt opinion is his opinion and I don't see how it can be dishonest. Dishonesty would be him liking it and then saying its horrible.

@LLOYDZELITE69 doesn't have exit oversteer :) I feel its pretty stable, maybe cause my own tune had heaps of oversteer and required gentle throttle input.

Tested Mini Stiggy and LLOYDZELITE69 tunes. They don´t work for me, i can´t drive fast a lower downforce than 550.
Low my time to 1:16.220 with my raybrig tune and 550 low rear downforce. This is where my skills allow me to go.
Congrats to all those very fast drivers.
><(((((°>°°°°°°°
With your raybrig tune I am down to 1:17.5xx and I found it better without the turbo and went to a engine stage 3 and found it to be quicker but I thought using turbo would be better than a stage 3 engine is that right.

Turbo = more torque/less power
Engine 3 = less torque/more power

Power > Torque when tuning for PPT's

Plus less torque = less problems with exit traction.

He's driving without turbo I think that's why is stable. Try the tune with turbo the. You'll see!

P.s. sorry folks, didn't mean to fill this thread with

Dishonest. It is a very simple thing to dial out in a gt500 car which has so much rear downforce available. And the manner of his post shows it. That he would need to redo the whole tune to dial out oversteer? REALLY! Oh but it's OK, he then states he's going back to his own tune!

(And no, that would be contradictory)

Ahh I see, no I didn't use turbo, I think the power was about 10hp less with turbo, so I figured it wasn't needed here. Besides all that sliding around on exit will loose way more time than the benefit of turbo

Its more convenient and natural to go back to your own tune if someone else's isn't working. At that point its easier and quicker to make changes as you already understand your own tune. I do it all the time, if a tune doesn't feel good to me after a few laps but its faster then I adjust my style and maybe the tune to make it work. If it doesn't feel good and I'm much slower then it's better to go back to what I know. But again its just one opinion, not everyone will like your tune regardless of how many people in the top ten are using it.

I think is more then 10bhp difference but the difference is with turbo you have like instant kick when you press the throttle, without is bit calmer, easier in my
Opinion.

I'm on ds3 so, for me is definitely easier to drive without the turbo!

A tuner doesn't know the basics of tuning? That is laughable.

But for that tuner to review another tuner's tune with a brash attitude (hoopla?) and say the oversteer cannot be remedied without reworking the whole tune (blatant lie proved by many of you) and then saying he is going back to his own tune, is distasteful and bad form, and shows ulterior motives.

Do we not have admin to clean these threads..? That's about 4 pages of bickering now..
Level of hate in this threat is just TOO DAMN HIGH! Please everyone just try work it out and get along!

This is a great place but it's sometimes really close to starting to slide to the dark side. Understandin and forgivness are great skills and I rate them much higher than anybodys driving skills!
