Ran a few in the EVO X GSR '07 @ Suzuka at 600pp free run with S2 tyres and only managed a 2'18.454 as my best lap after nearly 45 minutes
I could probably nail a high 2'17 as my best with luck ... If anyone is hitting 2'16's in the EVO then I give up with these crappy tyres

Audi R8 2:16.824

First time I've tried this car on S2's in the 600 class and was totally blown away by it in free run... first lap out (with some rough settings I had from months ago) I ran a 2:19. Added some rear toe to make it turn better, stiffened up the rear, fiddled with the camber and gearing a bit and got down to consistent mid 17's. Then one lap it all came together to give a 2:16.824. It's sooo stable, has mega brakes and brilliant traction but it's best quaility is it's mid corner grip.... and quite good fun to drive as it takes real precision to drive very quickly.

Not quite as good in a race though; if you get in front and there are no 430's behind (or STI's, if they are really well driven), it usually ends in a very boring race - had some races last night where I won with a 10-12 second gap to 2nd. But it's lack of speed on the 2 long straights means although it will eat 430's in the corners, they easily catch up with even a reasonable draft. Once they get in front it's almost impossible to get past them if the driver stays on the racing line.

Thanks......... i drive on professional with no aids (ABS = 1 the exception), so i guess they are pretty good, given that i've had GT5P less than 2 months. Even though i yell and scream when i make a mistake pushing, it's still the best stress relief i know of.........
