Still one question: 3rd gear at .945 should be a 0 for that? or a 1? Sorry mate but I just want a better time:lol:

Hmm, what do you guess :D heheh, naah, try to go whit 0.945 and see what you make with it 👍

TRL-Beau do you look at the data comparing your lap to Wolf?
Take a look at steering input. You come off turns 2,3, the bowl, and the left past the esses at nearly identical speeds but you have quite a bit more steering angle which kills your acceleration. Going into turn 4 you regain half the .2 you lose in 2 and 3 so it seems your set-up is decent.
It seems his car is able to accelerate off the corners with less
For what its worth your 1st gear is about 500 rpm shorter 2nd gear about 2-300 rpm shorter.
I think if you can get your car to finish the corner with less steering input you can beat his time.

Please forgive my intrusion :)

If you also notice he has use handbrake where i haven't, that's why he beats me there and yes i got a very fast tune, i've made my own tune when i got the 57.123 it's very different to previous tune, but this time trial is only a test for me truthy, im going to wait for the next time trial what uses 2J and smash it because i got a lot on and really can't be bother to put so much effort in the quickest lap so i'll work on the setup

Your setup helped me get 57.229 :)
I did some changing to it as well to get it bit better for my liking
900KG
Put power limit to whatever 600pp is for you
Dampers 3/5
3/5

Beau231. Can you share car settings for fast laps? Do you use ABS, TCS, Asm?

Any transmission experts? I looked at Wolfs data and averaged out different data points. His 1st gear seems to be very narrow. At the following speeds his rpm is: 65/5602 70/5886 75/6155 80/6272 85/6569 90/7048. About a 1400 rpm spread across those speeds. Mine is always more near 2000 rpm across the same speeds. His set up would accelerate better of the corners.
In my attempts to match it if I get the same rpm at 65 then I over-rev at 90. If I get it to match at 90 then its under revving at 65.
It is entirely possible I'm missing something very basic.

I'll share my gears soon i get home, but i'm no longer sharing my setup as im going to use it as a weapon for next 2J time trial

Top speed 240 KMH

This tune feels for me the best so far. I really think I can get under the 58 seconds:)

Btw, how many miles is it before the first oil change thing happens? And once that happens, do the really high level Top 10 guys usually just buy a brand new car at that point, or is it like, you just have to change the oil and start changing it much more frequently once it has happened, or, how does that work?

Like, I have around 950 miles on my 2J by now, and I already had to do a chassis rigidity refresh thing (the one that costs 500,000) at some point (I can't remember how many miles into it, like maybe 400 or 500 or somewhere around there?), but my oil thing is still green and still says it is fine and does not need to be changed.

Normally I never bothered to pay much attention to this type of thing, since most of the cars I used in the past were not multi-million dollar cars, but, given that the 2J is so expensive, I feel like I should probably try to learn what the deal is about this type of thing, since the TT is still only about halfway through, and I'm probably gonna do a bunch more laps on it in the 2J.

Any of you guys who are experts on this type of thing and can explain it fully accurately, it would be much appreciated! :)

@Kossie - please do use the multiquote/edit buttons when necessary; while your enthusiasm is more than welcome, multiple posts from the same poster following one another can have many downsides to it - not the least of it being that the page gets used up quick. 👍

Welcome to GTPlanet. :)

Already home?

I know I have a nice time but I want to get under 58 seconds, Every tip is welcome. Maybe my gears can even sharper? I know I can do better, that's the difficulty of this race, with my tune I'm now on my limit.

I used tunes from post #224.

It is a good tune, But it can better I am sure. Turn occasionally something to the tune, can sometimes help. My problem for not less than 58 seconds is in the gears I think.
