620pp supercar festival

Heh, I used a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP - Team Peugeot Total '10. Real fun to drive; especially around corners.

I totally swept the floor with the 2J for these races. Easy money, but no competition in using it. Might have to go back to something a little more standard.

I did something alittle different for this seasonal. I ran my Dodge Challenger Touring car with ABS off and no other aids, in cockpit view using the shifter instead of the paddles. Good fun and still won them all.

Won GV and Indy with the NSX Concept 01 and the Pad, but no way this could compete on the other tracks with an F1 in the field.

Had to resort to using a SP1 for SSR5, Eifel and Fuji.

You serious?

Yeah. I dropped its engine % to hit 620 PP. Basically, I'm a pad user, no wheel, I need assists, still fun to play the game even though it's easymode for me. =) I don't have a 2J yet --- otherwise, I would have used that! Was planning on trying the Bugatti Veryon for overkill, but I hadn't played with the Peugeot yet.

Just made 1.9 mil using Audi R8 Le Mans '03! On Indy I gradually turned the engine down to 60%. Think I may have got lucky with the field, lead cars were XJ220 and a Zonda.

Tried to post a pic, but it says invalid file

BIG CHALLENGE so Far & most Fun Racing 4 me using Fireblade @ 570pp. Biggest hurdle, taming the beast.. Tends to be loose. Zoom zoom....

I used the 2J for the first race. ;)

Yea the first race at Grand Val & Fuji are tuff!

Used a R390 street @518pp for 1.8M. Didn't pass the XJ until a couple turns before last straight lap 5. I started low pp & went up until I was able to get the win. Many tries though... Enjoyed the process of getting there, "GT5 RACING AT IT'S BEST"!

But then I redeemed myself with 430PP RUF at Indianapolis. ;)

Wow 430, Impressive! I'm digg'n the new track on the far Rt-Eifel, gonna use this one for "driving all sorts of vehicles". .. My fav is the Fural on this track, Min pp=515 or so. Seems to win with any line up. Will try against the Mclarien F1 next time I see it.

430PP, 264HP, 1380kg. Wasn't easy, but managed to win it even with the ZZII and Zonda on the grid. :)
Corner cutting? 430PP is madness.
Tried the Ruf, was not going well, switched to Honda S2000 LM Race Car at 503PP, won Indy with 1:40 lap times. Speed 12, Enzo in 1,2 at start. Couldn't beat the Enzo at its best, but passed it in the 3rd lap when it decided to go for a Sunday drive.

@Machinehead: just keep reading this post ;)

Yet another way of earning serious bank rolls without putting too much effort into it.

Selected event
620 PP supercar festival (yeah, what a surprise).

PS. You can obviously experiment with lower PP and different cars, but I have shown you the easy and cheap way. Also, I'd like to recommend AWD vehicles, which will come in handy when rallying ;). Have fun.

Finished. Ferrari scuderia 07 at 570 pp for rewards of around 1.200.000 credits. Much easier when the McLaren and the Nardo are not in the lineup, xj220 and Zonda not much of a threat...

This is a fun event. The last race is the toughest, I think. Eifel is under-used in GT5 but I don't know why. The difference is the hills, much like the tarmac track. You can't see the road ahead but that's the fun of it.
A buddy on here lent me his Alfa 2.5, the screamer, and I won 3 of the 5. Yes it's a race car but it's underpowered. Didn't have the juice for the last one, however. I used my Lambo Aventador for Fuji and it was perfect for it, and the 2J for Eifel. Lame, I know, but in all of these it was such a thrill to pass the Miuras after sucking exhaust in the Lambo event.
Tip: If you haven't tried the Alfa 2.5 '93, give it a shot. It's rock stable and oh so fast. Plus it revs around 11,500. Keep the revs up and it's a rocket. Sweet exhaust sound.

I used for this event GT-R N24 Schulze Motorsport '11 with ballast 200kg/50, 90.8% power (all stock) and a little bit shorter main gear than in stock gearbox. With 540PP I won with +/- 15 seconds advantage on Grand Valley Speedway without dramatic corner cutting (I tried to drove just like in Time Trial with GT86). When I have some more time I'll try to do it with 500PP.

Peace!

Just finished the Grand Valley event, in 1st. Most threatening cars in line-up were the XJ220 and Zonda C12S. Passed these on the final lap towards the first tunnel.

I used a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG using the following upgrades; Sports ECU, Sports Air Filter, Supercharger, Brake Balance set to 6 front 7 rear (suicide), Sports Hard tyres. PP was 576 after these.

Netted me 960,000 creds with only the first login bonus multiplier!

The Ferrari BB had no chance, the California was good for 3 golds and 2 bronze, it was easy money for the Italia to clean up 👍

Its possible with a ferrari 458 (570pp) even if your going against a XJ220, just dont try to make any mistakes :)

Im using honda nsx -r lm prototype stock car, already won on first 2 tracks. was't easy but lot of fun. and the prize money r good

The game is a f-in cheat. I'm really pissed.
The 1st race was fine with the me passing the C12 at end of 2nd lap. Now the 2nd race. It turns like a frickin' X1 and has speeds of a Bugatti veryon!!! thats ********!

I know the 2J is a little overkill, but I feel I can be forgiven as I've only just got hold of one, but I did Grand Valley at 536pp & received a not too embarrassing 1,645,890cr with a 9 second lead. Any of you more experienced 2J owners know how or if the pp can be brought down any lower? I have Ballast at 200 & pushed to the front & Power Limiter at 50%. Any advice would be welcome, cheers.

EDIT...I've got it down to 527pp, should I just keep putting it into endurance races to wear it out, would be interested to know just how much lower this thing will go PP wise.

Best for me was the Furai, then VW Nardone, Mclaren F1, Corvette Z06 '04. Hardest track was SS5, always seemed to be a faster car in front another 12 sec away. finally got it with only the Jag 220 leading.

lap Times to beat ( can vary quite a bit)

Grand Valley : 1:58
SS5 : 1:26
Indy : 1:36
Fuji: 1:43
Eiffel: 1:30

I saw a 8:01.776 to win this, you were lucky to get a weak field in this example.

Had a dash a while ago in my Speed 12 - Good fun.

Good numbers Polsixe.

Which AI grids are tough to beat, and which AI grids are "soft options"

I am sure I had a race with a Tommykaira - and I needed to pedal very fast to beat that reasonably priced supercar. Of course, I didn't manage it! Comfort Mediums... what did I expect!

Slavssn, used the evo, got it down to around 465 pp and won using the short cuts. I forget the 2nd place car, maybe the xj jag. I had a time of 8:24, so you need a weaker line up to win on that low of a pp. Payout was just under 2.3 M with 200 % bonus. As for cash not as good as 4 M in the F1 challenge, but it is easier than winning the F1 challenge.
