I am having trouble with the Online A-spec Challenge Seasonal events. I managed to get first place in the 400pp and 500pp races but the best I can do for the last challenge which is 650pp is 3rd place. I used the Saleen S7 and the Vertigo Race Car '04 and I got 3rd place with both cars. If anyone please tell me which setup or car they used and thanks.

My Mazda Furai has 680pp so that won't work and Chaparral 2J Race Car has 653pp so both cars won't qualify for the race.

I did all the new 3 seasionals with the GSX-R, tuned to meet the regulations. No problems at all. You overtake the leading car on lap 4 at Grand Valley with this car.

Use the engine limiter to tune to 650 pp and it will be a leisurely Sunday drive. I think I used a R390 Race car and was in first place by lap 2. Will go back with a more competitive car later and not a dominate one.

After a year of creeping around here learning a bunch of cool stuff, I've finally decided to make my first post! :)

I used the Xanavi Nismo Z '06 for this race with racing softs.

Downforce 30 / 55
High RPM Turbo
Tranny bumped down one notch on top speed to 186 (probably could have left it default)
Default LSD settings
Only one change to suspension (-5mm ride height front and rear)
Normal Brake Balance (5/5)

I'm pretty sure I changed the oil not too long ago. So a fresh change might require a bump down on the power limiter.

I found the race pretty easy once I realized I could go faster around most of the turns than the gear suggestions were telling me.

All assists off except ABS 1

I was able to take the lead in the 3rd or 4th lap.

I used a Peugeot 905 Race Car 92'. I was able to take the lead on lap 2 and win by a huge margin. It's pretty easy to drive and has little wheel spin from the low power using a power limiter.

Maxed out Ford GT with Racing Soft tires, aero kits, and custom rims. It was bought in the premium dealership.
The lead AI car was a Nissan GTR LM Edition, and I managed to pass it on the fourth lap.

A spec I used

400pp- H.S.R.
Stock Mr2 G Limited '97 w/ comfort soft (400pp, 196hp, 1261kg) +41kg to make pp level
won by 4.078sec (A.I.'s are on sport hards)

500pp- Trial Mtn.
86 GT '12 tuned 493pp w/ sport hards
won by 20.379 sec

650pp- Grand Valley
RX-7 TC 641pp w/ race hards

Race 1 -------lost by 6.758 sec (didnt realize i had to push harder)
Race 2 ------lost by 1.068 sec
Race 3-------lost by .062 sec
race 4 -------WIN by 1.013 sec

I had to push very hard with these tires and car. That Zonda LM was cookin!

With race soft I won by 16.359

Thats it so far.

I used the rx-7 TC
Driving aid: ABS 1

The McLaren BMW Racecar works well, too. And if you need a little extra "help", set Traction Control to 1, as well. ;)

To keep hp up, instead of limiting the power, add a little weight to lower your PP level. This may help you alittle as well.

I managed to get 2nd place with the 2J but the bloody car in front of me is way ahead of me so its impossible to overtake.

I used an all stock Nissan GT-R R35 TC on racing hard tires and won on my third attempt, had a good fight.

Getting to 2nd is simple, but the lead car usually puts an 18 to 20 second gap on the rest of the field which is kind of lame. Then once you pass 1st, you pull a big gap on him. AI is still pretty lame in GT5.

If you're having trouble at GV it's probably against the Zonda....recycle the race until the Oreca Viper or GT-R Concept is on top...much easier...

But I've had some great races against that Zonda....

i used a maxed out Zonda R and used the wee "de-tune thingy" to bring the car down to the required pp. it was tight cos the was a zonda race car in there so it went to the wire

Peugeot 908 HDi FAP worked great for me, detuned of course. Took first on Turn 1 of Lap 2, never looked back.
