That black piece on the front bumper looks terrible. Also, why is the bowtie mounted on the bumper instead of the grill? That looks even worse.

Agreed. I can only guess the bowtie is on the bumper because the top grill appears to be a mile back tucked under the hood. Still looks terrible. And why is the whole front so rounded?

The black bumper bit reminds me of the Charger stylings of recent years. I didn't like that one either. 👎 :dunce:

That's the first thing I noticed as well. The top grill section with the headlights looks like a rounded Charger.

So the Europe-bound cars have to use some stupid looking offset double-decked licence plate?

I sure hope Chevrolet isn't employing the tactic of making a car as ugly as possible so that nobody will buy it with this Camaro. Last uglied-up Chevy I can recall was the poor Cavalier of the early 2000s before being replaced by the Cobalt. I am just not feeling this newer Camaro. Should have stayed with the previous style. And as I've always said, different doesn't always mean better. Until a better design comes, we'll have to get used to this for the next few years or so.

I was kind of upset when they redeigned the current mustang and made it look worse, because I kind of like its pre facelift design.

I hated the Camaro. I still hate the Camaro.

Who wore it better?

I actually visited the Chevrolet Camaro's Facebook fan page just now. Even the Facebook folks disapprove of this new design, especially up front. Comments ranged from trying to get adjusted to the front to even why the corporate badge is on the 2019 Camaro. Some say the sales for this car is going to plummet even further. So, uh... do something about this to help preserve your fan base for the Camaro, Chevrolet...

I wonder if this will be like the 2012 (I think) Civic where the reaction was so negative that an emergency face lift followed up the very next year. I'm not really sure why they gave it this face lift in the first place, it doesn't exactly look tired yet.

Where does the number plate go?

My first guess would be on the lower grille, but that would make the front look even worse. :boggled:

Either that or it will be slightly offset on the black trim.

In the case of the Camaro SS, the problem is that the number plate will cover the logo if placed in that position.
That's exactly the point. Why put the emblem where the number plate goes? There's a perfectly(but ugly- butt ugly too) good space for the bowtie, in the top grille.

I think they were huffing glue when they designed this.
