From that video, it looks like the Ring is still smoother, flatter, and wider than reality. I'm not complaining, but that's my opinion from watching these videos.

It may be slightly smoother but like what was brought up in one of the other threads, the GT version might actually be too narrow. The FM4 version looks just about right in width.

Nah I say its about right.

that's not the same section.

both doesn't feel too much different to me, except the elevation on FM's is simplified and averaged.

A TV replay on Fujimi (with all those cars on track, again).
I didn't check yet but i'm pretty sure the game can display more aerial, wider views - more like GT5.

That vid never did really help me judge dimensions. Every time they show side by side views, GT looks narrower to me in that vid. What it does show me is that GT is great at capturing the "look" though.

The GT version is not too narrow, it's nearly spot on. The Forza version on the other hand, is way too wide and smooth. Seriously, when I watched the Forza 4 Zonda R video around the ring I didn't recognize the place at all.

Fine day for a morning troll. Birds singing and all that.......

Edit: not you Strittan.

Are you serious who is trolling? Some of you guys have to grow up. This was one thread where I thought people where acting mature.

For the most part yes. The guilty party knows who they are. I'll leave it at that rather than feed them.

Just stating facts!

I want the game thats why I'm here, GT has been a slight dissapointment but the core physics are good!

On post #35, Fuji TV replay, at 1:24-1:26 in the video it looks like the small blue car has it's headlights on. Probably just a glitch, but i think it would add so much to the game, especially at the foggy Nurburgring and the tracks at dusk to at least have the running lights on. I understand Turn 10's reasoning for not having full working headlights working as light sources so they can maintain the constant 60fps, but running lights would be just like the brake lights, just not as bright. You would think it could be done. Just a thought.

Not bad graphics, if only the physics could hold a candle to GT5, but alas, again they can't!

So true, they just blow the candle out that GT5 is holding since, to me, FM4 physics are closer to Race Pro than FM3 and GT5. IMO.

Ok, go exactly to 1:09 on the first video (of this thread) and tell me how many cars you think you could park next to each others (side-by-side) there.

Anyone can try a guess... (i'll post answer later)

Nah I say its about right.

Yeah, GT5 looks way to narrow there. Yikes.

👍 Indeed. FM4 and Race Pro are indeed the top now (though I have not played F1 2011 or Ferrari Challenge) for console.

Please explain how that looks to narrow you can easily fit 2 more cars next to the BMW on the road?

The shifts were a tad late but it looks like fun.

That's one thing I do give GT5 credit for. Of the few cars with an interior the hands move to shift position in anticipation of the shift. Nice move on their part with that. Sure wish FM4 would have copied that.

Back to your bridge troll (and the gran turismo forum).

or alternatively post your bias views in the FM vs GT thread, don't be jealous because we are getting FM4, a proper game full of fully modelled cars to the same high standard throughout.

Two more vids i've posted on Youtube yesterday but not linked here yet:

First, an almost clean lap on Trackday:

And the car after 6 laps in this mode :ouch: :

Wow that bumper cam makes my eyes bleed. Buttery smooth too.

Was damage set to cosmetic? I don't see any smoke from your engine.

Nice videos Milouse.

wow @ this sound

I love the motion blur effect, adds so much more atmosphere , too bad its replay only... anyways great video ! :D

I gave in and just watched on my iPhones 3G connection - looks blocky because of 3G ha but the game still looks amazing and that is incredible sounding, nice to hear who ever it is driving using the clutch.

Yes, because in Rivals mode, you can't have real damages (it is like a Time Attack mode).

In the Track Day events of career, though, you can play with full damages (and versus an other AI car) - and turn off the rewind feature for max pressure :nervous:

Edit: New Video with "behind car" view:
