It's starting to get light here in the UK, only an hour or so before sunrise.

Great to hear the driver is alive, the car looks completely destroyed, I wonder if they will show a replay now that they know the accident wasn't fatal

Hi guys - real sorry I can't hang with you this time. Have to study for a maths exam.

I was looking at the leaderboard on the Le Mans site and was wondering if there was anyway to save EVERY picture of the cars from those image archives when you go Leaderboard > Car of choice > photo archive.

thanks

At night not all cameras are active, thats why the world feed is limited, there may not be footage or the incident.

I'm sure the car had a camera on it that the team uses. Maybe it will be released after the race or the camera could have been damaged and we could possibly have nothing to see.

Yes, he's an idiot. He could've stopped and let them push him back into the pits, instead of do a whole lap with a blown turbo.

Oil on the track by a crashed Prototype.

From #17 accident or some another ? I hope that one only ...
Really sad thing what happened, lets hope driver is OK.

Sun dawn looks really nice, especially before Dunlop turns.

Just woke up and skimmed through this thread. I noticed the #8 Pug fell back to 6th place at some point. Did it catch back up on raw pace to get to 2nd spot?

F1 and MotoGP cameras have moving covers that "clean" themselves of water or dirt... Don't they have it here?

Green, and another one fudged the start. :\

My goodness! I am watching on speedtv.com's live stream of the race with Radio Le Mans commentary. And oh my... it's BEAUTIFUL! It has the whole widescreen/HD thing. This is the first Le Mans I'm enjoying with broadband. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep very well once the race concludes! Epic win for Speed Channel!

My sentiments exactly John. :)👍 Maybe next year, they can stream the Qualifying session? Just a thought on my part.

They said it will stop at 5am local time - it did.

Audi improved a bit, now consistently on 3'30s flat - but then again, the Peugeots are hovering between that and 3'27s.

Normally, I don't do this as its a 24 hour race where anything can happen, but I'm gonna call the race now:

P1: Peugeot will win the race. They actually got the strategy right this time and they actually have beaten Audi in the pits. They have finally relised winning a 24 hour race means lasting the distance as well. I will really be surprised if they lose it in the last few laps like they have the past few years.

P2: Porsche(and in particular, the essex team) dominated LMP2 and will finish that way. Anyone else who doesn't think so is crazy.

GT1: Do I really need to tell you?

GT2: Unless risi makes a major fail, they got it.
