Wait, Porsche in the lead!!!

Edit, nevermind, there was a glitch in their leader board!! UGH!

You're being optimistic, I'm being pessimistic. Apples and oranges. I certainly hope the Toyota comes back!! And I certainly think a lot can happen in the 9 1/2 hours remaining, but I'm also being pessimistic based off of past behavior Audi has shown in the final hours of LeMans. If nothing changes (no breakdowns or crashes) they'll win it.

I know what you're being, and I don't care, the nature of this race dictates that it can go either way despite what has happened in the past. In reality I'm being equally cynical with the current good nature Audi is having.

While I agree, I just don't see it happening this time. Toyota is done, the 7 I'm pretty convinced isn't going anywhere and the 8 is simply not fast enough to make up anytime and its pretty much out of time. Their would have to be a massive accidents to the other cars in order for that to happen.

That's fine, but when people broadcast as if they know when they didn't have the info it's quite stupid of them. It's great to say a guess, but those speaking weren't specifying a guess but an absolution. In reality I don't care if Toyota win, because I'm for Porsche in this race as LMP goes.

This is why I wish Toyota would enter 3 cars. Granted they probably can't though because they don't have a budget like Audi.

They do, they're just scared to repeat their F1 antics all over again and pour a ginormous budget to end up with no results in the end. It's ironic: if they weren't conservative with their budget, a 3rd Toyota may very well be leading the race right now with high chances of winning it.

Gutted.. We've officially lost the #7.. Sigh.. At the moment, it's gonna be Audi's. But we still have 10 hours or so left!

Absolution?

Try to be realistic. I can't be absolutely sure that Iran won't win the World Cup or that Pippo Volandri won't win Wimbledon, but those events are very very unlikely, just like Toyota winning this race.

Well now you're being a bit daft. The point was you stated something before the facts were in, as if you are on the Toyota team yourself. Why do something so annoyingly naive? Rather you should have waited like the rest of us and then I wouldn't be busting your chops. Now you've decided to make analogies that aren't comparable to the context of your original post.

Well, it was a good effort from the boys at TMG and Toyota. Really gutted for the team because they deserved to win the race, not Audi. You know, something seems fishy here to me... realistically Audi should not have won any 24H in the past 7 years, yet have come away with 6 victories. Oh well, I'll be hoping that Porsche gets their reliability issues fixed next year and they begin to dominate like they did 20 years ago. I've been tired of the 4 rings since the middle of the R8 Era.

It breaks my heart to see the #7 Toyota go. They were close to the elusive first place this time! They had the best car on the grid, and a solid team built around it.

Oh, well. There's always next year, no?

Also, the teams that deserves to win is the one that wins, at Le Mans. There can't and has never been an undeserving winner at the 24h. Surviving is already a grand victory.

Exactly what seems fishy to you? I just want to know.

Toyota is just like Peugeot: fast, but they always break down. And I have a feeling their Le Mans story will turn out the same way as their F1 story.

I can only hope Toyota will say to themselves "Now why the hell didn't we enter a third car..."

Really disappointed that the #7 Toyota is out. I still really want to know what happened to the car though.

More importantly, is the driver ok?

Completely agree 👍. I just hope they hang around at least until next year so they can duke it out with Nissan!

Let's not compare Toyota to Peugeot.

The Corvette needed a front end and door change because the door number was improperly lit.
