Yes, left rear wheel arch.

Duct tape is not enough!
Wonder if it will explode, how Nd when did it get there? Was that the smLl crack that was in one of the Audis about 4 hours ago that they wrrent worried about?

Still not sure how an ex-F1 points scorer such as Lamy can be considered 'amateur', but OK.
It isn't him that's amateur. One of his teammates have paid to race a la racing not their primary profession.

The Nissans are now fighting to stay ahead of the 70% rule to be classified.
I'd be surprised if both cars managed to do that. It's disappointing if you were hoping for at least average result from them, but the car simply wasn't ready for for the 24H race.

It stopped working for me but it might work for you -
I know there's not that much of the weekend left, but I don't think it's worth to take the risk of temporary ban for posting that, so I seriously recommend you to take that link out.

They're allowed one pro driver in an amateur car but Lauda is also an F3000 race winner (Edit: Not a race winner but points scorers in F3000, GP2 and DTM) and Dalla Lana has lots of experience in America. The car is being run by the works team too, it totally goes against the spirit of amateur competition in my opinion.

Paul Dalai Lana, I presume? Can't imagine it's Lauda's son.
Yes. Dalla Lana is a business executive. If that trio wins Am crown at season's end that Am status goes away.

Someone on the stream broadcast earlier made a great point, if Nissan wants to test for Le Mans there's really only one place to do it properly, at Le Mans. And of course the track is only open once a year. So here they are. Their goal is to go for the win in 2016, could you imagine the backlash with that announcement and this same thing happened next year with no proper testing? This "test" for them is vital.

Last Nissan Conversation here was a borderline civil war. Just smile and wave and and don't backtrack too far.

The way I see the Nissan situation is they have visited the Porsche Curve and the Dunlop Curve many times. But the only curve that is most important curve to Nissan right now is Learning Curve. They have collected important data which they will dissect and learn from and use in 2016 but we know that. We have talked about it already. As far as the car's aerodynamic design goes, OK they went radical with the design, but they have learned something from that with regard to it's performance and what has worked and what hasn't, and we will I hope see a different looking Nissan GT-R LM. One with a better aero package with none of the bad things from this year because it has been turned into a positive. I also hope we see a stronger Hybrid engine.

This was only ever meant to be something to lay foundations. Something to work on and build on. Only a fool would think otherwise.

Been watching the #19 onboard for a bit now. Bamber is being pretty cautious with traffic and an Audi just unlapped himself because of it. Guessing it was Lotterer since he just set the fastest race lap. Bamber is also not pushing too much in the Porsche curves.

Dude, just noticed they were 3rd fastest GTE in quali! They're not even close to amateur.
That's the loophole. Dalla Lana's been in Am for years.

best guess is that he's trying to keep the pace without risking much.
Watching the race made me think that next generation racing games need the possibility to duct tape your car when a damage happens.
