What happened to the usual WEC stream? Are you telling me they aren't doing that this year? Ughhh..... I mean I prefer TV anyway, but as others have already expressed, when I have to put up with Fox sports and all I will ever have is 1, I get disappointed quickly.

Also, is my math right? They are starting the race earlier this year? 1:30pm Local time as appose to the usual 3:30pm?

I liked having the race start/end around 11AM since I could get up at 6AM or 7AM and still have hours of racing ahead!
Because in certain countries certain channels will have exclusive rights.

Well, coverage of the Nurburgring 24hrs was pretty botched this year, so hey, why not botch Le Mans as well (I know it's not the same governing bodies) :dunce:! And while we're at it, let's screw up the 24hrs of Spa as well!

Seriously, what is going on this year?? Every major race seems to be having lackluster coverage!

Well its Fox, what were you expecting?

All I will say though is I hope Fox Sports 1 (and 2) dies a painful death, that way motorsports coverage goes to a channel that gives a damn. Really, I'm tired of the idiotic way the big races are covered this year period. So many stupid paywall and commercial crap.

MotorsTV is coming to the USA. But I fear Fox Sports might own the LM24 contract for a few more years

Great news for all UK fans, Quest (the best channel on Freeview) are showing the first and final hours live, they're also throwing in a couple of hour long highlight shows:

1:30PM - 3:30PM - Le Mans Start Live
9:00PM - 10:00PM - Le Mans Afternoon Highlights
7:00AM - 8:00AM - Le Mans Overnight Highlights
1:00PM - 2:30PM - Le Mans Finish Live

Between the overnight highlights and the finish they have 3 hours of "The Road to Le Mans" documenting Creation Autosport in the 2005 race.

Full listings are here: http://www.freeview.co.uk/whats-on/tv-guide

That's why I'm going to them all instead... the great thing is it's much more expensive and I'll have eeeveen LESS idea what's going on than people following it on the web

No stream sucks, because the race isn't on TV in Canada at all. Brutal.

I've heard Rogers has the Fox Sports Racing channel (basically Canadian version of FS1), so there is an option for those of us east of Manitoba. If you're stuck with Shaw, Bell or Telus, well, no Le Mans on TV for you.

There are a few buildings in Metro Vancouver with Novus that will be able to watch the race on TV, but unfortunately they will not be expanding into my area (and end Shaw's garbage monopoly here) for at least another year or two.

Looking more than likely Ill be using an illegal stream. I would like Eurosport's, but not sure if you can purchase their app in the U.S. Anyone know if thats possible?

And this is why pirating exists.
And this is where this line of enquiry stops.

We'll post a race preview on the GTP blog with as many ways to view it as we possibly can. There may well be some territorial concerns that hamper some members viewing some bits of the race, but I'm sure that they won't be all that concerning...

Are links to paid links (WEC, Eurosport) permitted?

Here's something, will there be a clampdown on Periscope links from people at the track? Over the past 24 hours it's caused quite a stir.

Are teams going to stream from their onboard cameras? I believe there were onboard cameras on the WEC site as well last year, am I right?

Fox Sports Racing is more like a combination of FS1 and FS2. It seems to show both. It's "dedicated" to racing coverage...when there is any. Otherwise it shows the other terrible programmes that used to be on SPEED in perpetuity.

Finally had it confirmed I will be off for the week so I'm free to watch Le Mans. So relieved! I aim to beat previous record of 16h.

Are we allowed to ask about paid versions of the race stream? Im not condoning pirated streams. But Im not going to lie and say Ive not considered it. Fox sports broadcasting times leave only a few options.

I've said it over and over. Fox needs to stop pretending that it gives a crap about racing and just let it go to CBS or NBC already. My absolute favorite racing series is still being handled(fumbled) by the network with the worst racing coverage track record from my experience. I can only think of Chunk trying to catch that water cooler from tipping over while shouting, "I got it! I got it!"

Someone make a petition for NBC to buy the rights to the WEC and IMSA...please I'm being serious this Le Mans coverage was the final straw for me.

Heck FOX's ****ing stupid coverage also extends to Baseball, Football, Real Football (soccer) and others.
