Bummer. Do they have any idea of what hit the Nissan?
Driver needs to stay within 10 meters off hs car and keep his helmet on tho. Otherwise its n auto dnfNope, only if the marshalls do repair jobs. Cars can be pulled aside and repaired by the driver, but the car needs to reach the pit on its own.
I just got informed that Nissan team is trying to restart the #21.They have not retired yet.
It's a long story but basically the Lotus is racing today. I'll try to sumarise:That's what I mean, they revealed their car at Le Mans last year, but they've... vanished.
Yeah but aside from the failures, they are so bloody slow through corners it's at a GT pace as it understeers like a pig.Crap happens and for the most part the things that have gone wrong for them are nothing uncommon.
I know, I found this just a little after I asked the question. It's a long story but basically the Lotus is racing today. I'll try to sumarise:
Kodewa built a LMP2 car with naming sponsorship from Lotus, this carried over too their LMP1 car which was shown at Le Mans last year then ran the second half of the season, they then quietly dumped the Lotus name before the end of the season but continued with the car which is now run by ByKolles.
Matsuda, looks somewhat like the language barrier what with the marshals' gestures.Who's driving the Nissan #21 and why doesn't he listen to the marshalls?

There must be a reason racing teams never use a front wheel drive concept, and Nissan is proving that at the moment i'm afraid.
"Mr. Matsuda, does the car run?"
"Hai."
"Do you need help starting it?"
"Hai."
"We're trying to help, but he just keeps greeting us!"

Front wheel drive doesn't automatically mean understeer, don't let Gran Turismo fool you. Mid-engine rear wheel drive is used because it's just simply is the best platform. This is run under regulations so the FF layout can use other means to keep up, such as aerodynamics.
