If that was me in the Nissan and I knew I could get that car back to the pits, repaired and out racing again I would be doing my best to get it back to the pits. That being said, I suppose it is a fine line between that and doing something stupid...

Said it on Twitter, I'll say it here:

While of course. Clearly, if someone doesn't share your view on things, they can't possibly be fans of motorsport.

Most narrow minded statement in this thread... To hell with anyone who dares have different opinions than my own!

Opinions can be wrong, you know?

Funny considering the narrow-minded idiocy I have seen around some parts with people putting Nissan down at every chance for no reason.

Front wheel drive doesn't automatically mean understeer, don't let Gran Turismo fool you. Mid-engine rear wheel drive is used because it's just simply is the best platform. This is run under regulations so the FF layout can use other means to keep up, such as aerodynamics.
Yeah but it seems like the advantages of the rest of the car like its better aero, downforce, internal tunnels and all, just compensate for the disadvantages of the FF layout and nothing more.

I was all for the concept and the innovation, but seeing their struggle at Le Mans i doubt it will get much better over time. We'll see next year.

Nissan. Spirit of the Race. End of.

I hate the team, but they have won me over. They embody Le Mans. They embody the true origins of motorsport. They don't care about the armchair engineers who think they know it all, they don't care about the "fans" who want to revel in their struggles.

Kick ass next year Nissan. God speed.

The stream just came on TV... but I think ill just watch the stream until my connection messes up, or if the tv is ahead by a significant amount.

Everyone has to remember it's original concept was for the hybrid system to power the rear wheels on corner exits. It's only FWD at the moment because the original hybrid system isn't working.

And my attempts on Rfactor at a FWD 1200hp Peugeot 908 to see what it was like convinced me FWD only would be slow :P

...They're not out out yet, right?

They're still in the middle of development, it's supposed to attack next year.
Heck, it's running with less power than most P2 cars and still keeping up, with FWD.
Once they have the hybrid running, with all four wheels powered, it'll be different for sure.

Well done for turning what I said into something it isn't. Just because you have an opinion doesn't give it validity. You and a few others are determined to see it fail, no matter what facts you're presented with. That isn't being a motorsport fan. That's just pure arrogance.
