How to take it to the next level in GT7?

I have a list of tracks where I want to do GOLD:
1. Monza (done)
2. Spa (done)
3. Interlagos
4. Red Bull Ring
5. Barcelona
6. Suzuka
7. Le Mans
8. Nurburgring

Which one do you think I should focus on next? Ideally capitalizing on the skills I got doing Monza and Spa.

I'd say now your challenge is to gold it with the regular controller, this way you'lle remove the idea that you needed the Edge 😁

So I tried again:-)

With Edge or regular controller ?

With Edge. Difference is very subtle, but I am able to do things easier. I will try with a regular. But with Edge I am going to try MT.

If you want to take it to the next level, start racing on Sport Mode. Its too easy to form bad habits against poor AI, which is what GT has.

But doing Circuit Experience you do not have any AI. I would rather prefer to master several tracks and then go to Sport, else I will drive like crazy AI

Sooner or later, you are going to have to learn racecraft against real people anyway.

Everyone's made an idiot out of themselves online, it is not a big deal if you make mistakes while you learn

Also what is your definition of "mastering"?

I wonder if the ability to control the sensitivity, you would have done better if you turned off the resistant triggers on the non-edge controller. I always found it hard to judge how much brake or throttle I am inputting because the resistance prevented me from smoothly rolling onto the throttle and being gentle with my inputs.

I tried it. My bro told me the same. He finds it easier without the resistance. For me, it is the other way around

You are very smooth with steering on the controller, and i see you are not using assists. You are on the right path mate. You are good to go online and start learning racecraft now.

Learning to simrace is not a matter of months, but years.

If you visit the thread with the statistics for the time trials so well handled by half_sourly you will see that around 40% of top players are using controller:

Enjoy your journey, we are all learning.

Thank you very much! I am enjoying the journey! I am here to stay:-)

Hey everyone. I decided to do Interlagos next. Who of you did GOLD here? I am trying to figure our this part of S3. Cannot find any mark for a breaking point. Any suggestion?

I think I will struggle in Interlagos. I do not feel or understand the track:-( I like the F1 race, but now that I tried it myself, I cannot feel the track, unlike Monza or Spa.

My first attempt was 3.5 sec off, second much closer, but that was just intuition. I am struggling with breaking points and the flow.

As always, will work on it:-))

Now I need to understand the track and find 1.5 sec:-)

Found a bit time. Need to shave 1 sec.

Ok, need to find a bit less now. 0.5 sec.

Well, this hurts:
