Wrong on quite a few levels. When I first say the Nissan, I thought it looked awesome. The concept was fresh, and I was happy to have another large manufaturer in the big game. I never said anything negative about the Nissan LMP1 until they showed up at Le Mans with a car running at LMP2 pace. I dcouldn't care less about what excuses they have. You don't go to a race track as a large manufacturer, until your car is at least somewhat close to the other cars in the class you're competing in. Espicially not in the highest tier of motorsport.

It's about upholding a certain standard. And a massive company such as Nissan, with plenty of racing experience, has very little excuse to show up this unprepared. The excuse that they're using Le Mans as testing would hold water if not for the fact that both Toyota and Porsche, to mention the most recent inclusions in LMP1, both arrived prepared.

Not respecting the legitimazy of other opinions solely because they conflict with your own view on things. Now that is the essence of arrogance. Your tweet certainly embodies the spirit of a narrow minded train of thought. Stricking down any critisism as petty dislike of a company.
Toyota had a dreadful first season and Porsche spent two or three years devolping the car before last year. Nissans hasn't hadn't put in as much time yet. They will be sorted for next year though. They have also proven the concept works. They have far less power but look at their trap speeds. Now imagine it with more than double the power. That's next years cars.

Nissan brought 10 spare engines and 9 spare complete bodies.

Sounds prepared to me.

Really? A car that performs as the class below it, is the definition of prepared to you?
It's a noble effort, sure. But hardly prepared.

How did Toyota perform horrible their first year? They were literally right up there with Audi at Le Mans 2012, fighting for 1st, until a Ferrari, followed by a Toyota driver error, ruined ther race.
Porsche wasn't anywhere even remotely as far off as the Nissan's are.

Again. I very much like the concept of the Nissans. They are something new and their visual design breaks up the monotony of the P1 field. But IMO, they shouldn't participate until they are genuinely ready to do so. And that means testing on your own, until every vital system works.

Not only twice the power, but also twice the amount of driven wheels while going out of corners. :D

If you guys are so inclined to insist they shouldn't be racing right now, maybe you should take the issue up with the race officials that let them enter. Apparently they had no problem with it.
How many cars has Nissan built for this car? I count 16.
Huh?

3 cars started, only 1 has retired after 10 hours, i'm pretty sure you'd appreciate the effort to get 3 cars running. I haven't seen you slating Kolles in the same way I have noticed.

Exactly it's a monster. It won't do well at the other wec circuits with maybe the exception for Fuji though as it's designed just for Le Mans.

That cameraman is trying to make me jealous because he has a small cake thing?

Pah, I have mentos and hob nobs.

You said 10 spare engines and 9 spare bodies. Thats 16 cars. (Only 7 chassis tho)

Actually, Michael Krumm confirmed on Eurosport DE that they have a seperate development car running, testing high downforce kits for other tracks like the Nürburgring, where they'll bring two cars.

I must say, I haven't seen Kolles being the 4th largest car manufacturer in the world. You'll have to agree in saying that Nissan could've aimed far higher, while Kolles is likely doing the best they can afford right now.

Second hand Ligier guys.

What's the new one? "Innovation that excites."

"Innovation that's 20 seconds off the pace that excites."
More like 12-15 seconds, but sure.

Edit: Scratch that, thought their best was 3:29.

In any case, their slogan pertains to their road cars.

I like the audi commercial with the clip of the 1981 Audi Quattro and a Spectator puts his hands behind his head like kts unbelievably fast lol.

Nissan does not care. Test. Session.

Why is it so hard to understand.
