Ganassi knows how to get results, and that's all well and good...he's just a really classless act. I don't believe that's a big concern of Ford's (and it really shouldn't be). It simply means I won't be cheering on Ford - especially now that Bourdais won't be making the drive. My hopes are with Risi and AF Corse...I'd like to see a Ferrari win GT at LeMans again.

While I want Corvette or Aston Martin to win (or Porsche), I would like Ferrari to win simply from the stand point of annoying Ford and CGR. :P

Here's to hoping for GTE-Am Ford's next year, so a respectable team (with a better taste in livery design) that we can like can have them. :P

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want Porsche to win GTE PRO (LMP1 would also be nice), but anyone but Ford would do nicely...

Also any predictions for the race people?

You expect a guy that looks like this to not be classless when running his race teams? I'd expect him to sell "magic" beans on his days off.

To be fair, he seemed like a pretty straight forward guy back about 20 years ago when he was just startin'...now, not so much. I'll take a Mike Shank anyday.

When you have guys like Penske to aspire too, it's hard to respect many in the American series that aren't Indy and NASCAR and even those have the usual snake oil sellers.

I thought those horns were loud, because they hurt your ears a bit; then I heard the horn off the Ferry in the Delaware bay from south Jersey to Delware, that'll bring you to your knees. :nervous:

K5LA's are beautiful sweet things, though not as great as P3's, P5's or RS5T/S5T's.

Did Dunlop finally figure out how to make a tire for them?:sly:
Says the guy who's team needs a train horn to get noticed  :sly:

Seriously, probably Vantage's last year in PRO, amazed it's still even competitive never mind winning.

We're American's have you seen our President?

I'd rather them stay, bring a DB11 GTE in 2019 using the '18 as a test bed if possible, and actually being normal and doing what others do...rather than complain at times. I would hate to see a great GT team go, because of whatever Aston is thinking.

Some info from dsc from scrutineering. Conway thinks they can best the lap record

He also thinks that the lap record – set by Neel Jane in 2015 (3:16.887) – can be beaten this year, after Kobayashi managed to set a 3:18 at the test.

“I think we can better that, if you get a full clear lap maybe we’ll be knocking on the door of Jani’s record a few years ago. But it’s so hard to do that. It’ll be interesting to see what Porsche can do. It’ll all be who can do three or four stints on tyres, the average times at the test.

I think Toyota will break the lap record. This team is talking as if they can and will extract more speed out of it.

Now if the race pace itself is around 2-3 seconds faster than Porsche, then no amount of slick pit stop tricks can beat that, unless the 919 can do more stints on the tires but I find that even doubtful. Porsche must be wondering if the 919 is a bit old now.
