Looks like we'll only have 3 in GT1 tonight, but were expecting a good GTS crowd. Ballast details are up in the 2nd OP!

Seth, I'm going to try and make it tonight. I can't make any promises though. It's raining hard over here, and my internet connection is never good when it rains.

INTRODUCTION

Special Stage Route 5 is one of the two night time stages in the Gran Turismo series. Based off of a highway, believed to be located in Japan that is notorious for illegal street racing, the course offers a handful of intermediate turns with a few advanced corners, as well as easy corners. The main straight is 997Meters long (.62 mile) as well enabling top speeds in excess of 310kph (193mph). Be prepared to slow down as there is a hard left handed roundabout after the straight. With 16 turns in total and 21 meters of elevation change, SSR5 is a great and challenging street course!

RACE DETAILS

Race room will open ~2:00pm est. (Sunday) with qualifying starting ~2:30pm (provided enough entries). Qualifying settings will be fuel consumption/tire wear on FAST while race setting will be NORMAL

TIRE USAGE

SOFTS are option tires, prime tires are MEDIUMS Minimum13 lap per stint. A MAX option tire usage (SOFTS) will be 28laps. You choose which compound you qualify with, but start the race with said tire compound.

I dont think Im going to make it tonight, got home late and still got stuff I need to do before I fire up the ps3.

Thanks for the Jag tune seth, its a bit tail happy for my liking, so I'm going to fiddle with the toe and aero to try get it a bit more stable at turn in,

but the lambo has the biggest handling issue, the standard set up on the jag is 10 fold better then the lambo tune I had,

I have a little tune for the Lambo as well. Able to get low 1:16's with it. I'll give that to you if you want it. With mid engine cars I usually run lower front ride height. Then try the initial torque settings on the lsd a bit higher than the acceleration #. Like 15/12/8

I just couldn't get it stable, as soon as I came out of turn 5 over the crest into the chicane it would either half spin or powerslide through the chicane resulting in a bigger crash,

Use rear brake strength at 2 or 1, and front strength at 4 or 5. So 5/2 4/1 I suggest. I'm not sure if the low # for the LSD on the braking allows for more movement under braking, but I think so. That's why I use a lower # setting on that. So LSD is 15/12/8 or try 18/12/10.

Apologies guys, I fell asleep waiting for the room to open, didn't wake up till around 4am local time :dopey: I wasn't ignoring you Seth!

It's ok. There were only 5 who showed including me. We were less 3 in GT1 and you in GTS. That would have made a total of 9 of us had those who usually show up made it. So I think if we get a few more takers or guys actually able to keep their commitments we'll have a good group.

The set up I got is quick, just not stable at SSR5, on the crest's, haven't got much time for testing and tuning car's these day's, its just on throttle crest's that worry the lambo, the Jag doesn't have this issue naturally,

Apologies for not showing up. Furnace at my house quit on me, and had to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair the issue. I probably can't make it next week either since I don't have any DLC tracks.

Thats right. SSR5 AGAIN next Monday. MOTEGI Sunday. It's only a few dollars, if you get it you have 3 variations PLUS the oval. IMO its a no brainer.

Dave, try lsd @18/15/10 that might help.

Next Sunday. Not this coming one. The 16th is SSR5.

Got ya 👍

Just a heads up, I won't be able to race this Sunday but will be ok for Monday provided I don't fall asleep, I have the day off on Tuesday again :)
