It shouldn't be banned, it has it's place of course. All fuel types should be given EQUAL footing to compete. Petrol, diesel, LPG, electric, hybrid, whatever - all should have the ability to equally compete for victory, rather than everything that isn't diesel being crippled.

Over the course of the race (the last 10 hours or so), I've just been watching the Murphy Prototypes P2 car slowly make it's way up the pack... It was 23rd earlier, it's 14th now. I like the variety, some people think the Audi sounds good. I don't. I prefer the Corvettes and Aston Martins. The old Aston Martin Lola was the best sounding LMP in recent years by miles. Then again the best sounding cars were Group C...Sauber V8s, Jaguar V12s, Porsche flat-sixes, Mazda rotary scream...
