Shame you don't see the GT battles .
As I said a fair BOP doesn't work like that. Toyota is a good LMP1 but if organizers allow diesel engines against petrol engines they need to balance things a bit better. The point of racing in the same class with different technologies is to achieve similar results in the end. If diesel has a natural torque advantage and an hp advantage because of regulations it's pretty obvious they'll win Le Mans over and over again and that's why non-Diesel manufactures are not interesed in Le Mans.I guess Toyota should design there cars better next time?

Then they should go diesel no? Part of the 'better design' thing I was saying. I don't really think it will be easy to balance them.
Personally, I find it unfair too.THIS.
I lost faith in the ACO when Aston Martin rocked up with an expensively-assembled LMP1 factory program, only to be completely screwed over by BOP and put 5-10 seconds PER LAP slower than the diesel Audis/Peugeots.
I'm all for alternative technologies, but crippling everyone else in favour of one fuel system (diesel, which let's be honest is pretty expensive to put together as a race package for anyone other than Audi) is just stupid

The AMR-One's were crap, looking at teams like Strakka, Rebellion and JRM (last year) showed the BOP inequalities better.
Yes of course every non-diesel manifacture should go diesel. Then they should go diesel no? Part of the 'better design' thing I was saying. I don't really think it will be easy to balance them.
Alright fellas, need to sleep. Still a long day ahead of me later today. Gotta drive in a few hours so my tired eyes has to rest. Lets go Toyota and #97. Don't let the boogie man, #39, get you!

Breaking news: traditional petrol manifactures don't make diesel at all.

DaveTheStalkerHave a great day, keep some coffee and food within reach. Drinking a ton of coffee without eating can thrash you!

I wasn't talking about the AMR-One, that was a farce all round brought on because the ACO rendered a whole generation of 2-year-old prototypes illegal and forced teams to come up with new ones from scratch having just made new ones. Audi had the money to come up with the R18, but Aston Martin had to rush out the AMR-One which was terrible. I was actually referring to the DBR-1 Lola, which was getting destroyed by four-year-old Audi R10s because they were diesel and the Aston wasn't
But yeah there are so many examples of BOP crippling competition. GTE-Pro this year, for example...
