Also not bad on Corvette and Viper, one of the Vettes up to 5th and hanging in there, good for the Vipers to at least still be running on their first attempt with this program (and having been slapped with BOP). đź‘Ť

Didn't Pescarolo maKe it better when they bought one of them to design the Pescarolo 03?

It was just as bad, the Judd engine which they had never had problems with before overheated and self-destructed 3 times and the steering would lock up when the drivers were going around the corner.

The VAG Group aren't daft they can see Petrol getting closer to diesel with the 2014 regs so what have they done? they edged the bets and built a petrol engined Porsche

Which is good. The 2014 regulations look promising, they promote variety over strict adherence to one formula (as it is currently - small engine diesel or GTFO). I just hope they're implemented well...

My mistake, I didn't remember the Lola's being so far off the pace, I'll just blame it on being awake for so long!

That's okay. I do, only because I remember seeing the 2007 Audi R10 (in the hands of privateers) lapping the factory Lola Aston Martins and thinking 'OH COME ON!!' :Banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Anyway, and calm...

GTE-Pro really heating up now...in amongst all the BOP crippling a motor race may just break out here...

It's worth a look into. If you can't beat them, join them. Right?
What's the point for brands like McLaren and Lamborghini to spend huge cash on developing a diesel hybrid LMP1 when the cars they're actually selling are not diesel? Not many manifactures are interested in this, and with these regulations you basically middle finger all the private teams.
Pescarolo not racing this year because he is tired of this regulation, eventually show up next year with a japanese project if something will change.

dammit Audi, you gave Lieb an extra 3 seconds away from Turner :grumpy:

Oh bore off Audi. You've sown up LMP1 yet again, stop ruining the other classes too.

Then again it's not as bad as Davidson barging off a Corvette out of the class lead a few years ago...

All in the name of the environment of course. :)

Exactly. Le Mans is supposed to be about new technologies filtering into road cars eventually. Audi it makes sense, with their TDi cars. Mclaren and Lamborghini, who don't make a single diesel car in their range? No point.

And when Pescarolo, a guy who's been coming to Le Mans for years, pulls out because he feels there's no point entering, you know something's seriously wrong.

Diesel is a less environmentally friendly fuel. People are just blinded by its economy.

Yes, a diesel's fuel economy is indeed better. But whatever's coming out of the exhaust is far worse than what's coming out of the exhaust of a petrol engine.

It's all bollocks, anyway. There's no such thing as an environmentally friendly fossil fuel.

I heard the #45 has been restarted and going back on track? And the vibration on the #2 Audi is heating the action up! A lot of things can still happen!

You can still see it when the camera shows the chicane, also it won't be allowed to restart unless the driver is the one to get it going.

EuroSport stream showing a clip of spectators playing a game with stones
