Somebody should take a look at that green Ferrari, there must be something wrong with it...it keeps going round & round

I'd say I disagree with the comments/sexism regarding the particular example of Danica Patrick. In my opinion, she's actually responsible for part of that sexism with her attitude and her promotion depending more on her breasts than her skills. There are plenty of other women in motorsport that don't get that coverage just because they have kept their racing suit zipped all the way up.

I want more Gachnangs, I want more De Villotas, more Leena/Deena Gades. And please, let the future hold no more Danicas.

This is of course true. I really hope Pippa Mann goes on, she showed good potential at Indy this year.

Wow and now Corvette is in 8th so from a couple hours ago to having a solid run at fourth to now being eighth and 2 minutes behind the next guy. That safety car split was BS yet again.

Again, why is this ridiculous safety car split in place?

I agree, Corvette is another car effected by this s***. Ferrari are not using their technology to full potential. I'm ok with horsepower limitations, but the road car had 7 speed gearbox, race car FORCED to use 6 speed gearbox from day one. Ferrari anti block differential is one of the best features, Aston are not at the seme level. And on consumes Ferrari is much better... therefore... LIMITATIONS.

Not to mention Le Mans organizers are the same people that didn't allow Maserati MC12 to enter Le Mans because deemed too fast.

Utterly ridiculous. Horsepower and fuel consumption limitations should be the ONLY restrictions. Otherwise, it's open season - use whatever engines, gearboxes, bodies, whatever that you like. So if the road car has a 7 speed, use a 7 speed.

We're now in the ridiculous scenario where the road cars actually have better tech in some cases than their race equivalents. How'd that happen?

Which is odd as the Viper has hardly been making waves in the ALMS?

Mmmm, hence why I dislike the FIA in general these days - the politics are way too obvious. Especially at Le Mans. I've enjoyed the GT battles in recent years but now it feels artificial and sterile. 👎

Well I feel Corvette Racing will be the ones to beat next year, there will be no reason to have such a BOP and the car from the factory will run the required 5.5L, which I feel GM did on purpose just for Le Mans and ALMS and have more race car carry over to their road cars. The GM board has a big influence and investment in the GTE program, and it shows with how they build the C7 to be more functional for the sport and a privileged to those who buy them for the road.

Viper will come back much stronger next year and venturing into GT3 may help them with the bigger GTE programs.

It's quite simple. There are more men interested in motorsport than females. And who the hell cares what gender the drivers or mechanics are? Of course sexism is still an excuse for some. Women have it sooo tough...

Women drivers.... questionable liveries (although this one may have been for charity IIRC) at the Dubai 24, an all girl team.. The Racing Divas

This has already been addressed and the BOP is way off for Vette racing as well. The car is clearly a major improvement over last years, the ALMS shows that but and Corvette Racing Manager Fehan seems to not be worried about it though...I wouldn't fully agree though that the Ferrari is best but I would say they are shorthanded compared to last year, however the Vette is even more so.
Let the teams push for real performances instead of giving them fake performances, Le Mans organizers basically sit down on their table count the money and decide who have to win. That's pretty much it.

All in making a more even playing field.

Now that is too awesome.

In my opinion. If you are a great driver, it won't matter what so ever if you're female or male. But no matter what, you'll have feminists complaining that sexism and what not is preventing them from getting into all kinds of jobs.

Yes we are. And yet Ferrari managed to win Le Mans even with severe mechanical limitations.

That's why they don't give a damn to show up as official team and they are investing more and more money on private races with Ferrari FXX Evo and 599XX Evo, where there are no silly limitations.

That was how they financed the deal. People paid money to get their names in the hearts.

That's assuming three attractive GT racing drivers would be interested in a guy behind a keyboard...hmm...no...;)

(I kid, I mean I don't know, you could also be an all-star race driver or something, haha!)

Lol, I think you were probably right the first time! Grid-girls will smile back because it's their job... but racing drivers... nope, I reckon I'd be barking up the wrong tree there!

Starting to make sense why they took the nonsensical decision to ditch GT1, which has practically re-emerged as GT3 anyway.

Cars like the FXX or the Zonda R could add a lot to Le Mans, but are ignored. Ah well, their loss...

Our GT Academy drivers are in 3rd place. 👍 (In their class, LMP2, that is.)

Well, I have to go unfortunately. I have confidence in Nissan that they will be dominant in the LMP2 category. Good luck and good night everyone!
