Audi #1 has slicks on while #2 and #3 have intermediates... Risky move by the #1 because the track will be hell slippery.

It's most likely reduced to guinea pig car now. It has a very slim chance of winning, so it will serve it's purpose as a test bed.

What's with the Nurburgring24-esque blue light on the #88 Porsche? It's the only car I've seen with it.

I know it's for the top 40 qualifiers at the 'Ring, but here?

#1 Audi has a broken windscreen wiper.. Aha. Not ideal in these conditions. Just saw one of the Audi passing the #8 Toyota. Must be a mistake.

Eurosport still can't help themselves from waiting for the race get to going again before switching to adverts, after two almost-ad-free SC periods.

I seem to be hearing a lot of negative things about Eurosport's coverage. Is it that bad?

The coverage is great... The commercial breaks every 15 mins is bad!

At least on my channel.

I'm watching it on Channel Tens website, it's free and no adverts. No commentary makes it better too, to me :D.

The Toyotas seem to be struggling quite badly with traction right now.

But they sound glorious.

What if the drivers are too tired to drive at a certain point?

All drivers will no doubt get tired, but probably not so much where they're unable to drive. They have three drivers to switch between which allows those who have just been driving to rest up and be ready to go back in. A driver can only drive for 4 hours at any time, have a 2 hour break, and then go back in again for another max of 4 hours.

Some teams are unfortunate enough to only have two drivers, due to one maybe not qualifying for his drive, or pulling out for one reason or another. I remember in 2011 this happened to a team.

It's not like it was back in the 1920's and 30's, when drivers would do the entire thing on their own.

Eurosports coverage is good compared to most things you'll see. Although, the ads seem to be coming at the worst possible times this year, and they seem longer than usual. The entire race in full HD though? Can't complain.
