TVR&FF - thanks 👍

Alex - the bending happens with 14mm-50mm film depending on the angle of the camera. you can also see the effect on the car because the roof is at the correct position, but, it looks shorter giving it a squished effect. the only problem is with that film size, pictures are often ruined by the gt4 bluring.

You're working hard on your comp entries. I'm loving this haha, more fun then in the polls.

ive always thought ive had good entrys since both times ive entered the tourniments, i made it to the semis and i still have a chance to go to the finals this round *hopes, but, nervous about taking on franz or 440* and have made several polls. i feel like lost votes due to not having pixel prefect images or due to lack of popularity. its just been so frustaiting because ive never won anything execpt the first TT comp that alpha used to do.

Wow they're pretty damn good  Shiny, good lighting, well cleaned 👍

thanks :) all i did was wash it several times, buy new rims (which i didnt think i could) and adjust brightness/contrast for the current rpmc round which only allows b/c, crop, and resize :)

Suaveeeeee
All your shots in the update are very clean and crisp. And the high contrast/deep saturation look is fantastic! I really like the middle thumbnail.

Yup, but I haven't expected your "sincere" reply. I know, competitions here are difficult and only one can win. In fact everybody want the same, and spent the time working hard to it. I'm agree with the perfect pixel, it's a decisive fact when votting as a quality element.

I think the 2.0 rules has two competitions, the photomode as a base and the Photoshop/Gimp as editting. Many times could seem all depends of software, but since some time ago I was noticed the photographic quality of winners, "hidden" by his impressive PS skills.

FaLLeNAn9eL - thanks 👍

alex - then add in the fact the editing is more important than the picture when the editing is only part of the picture. you really dont have to look any further than the last 2.0 tournament poll with 3 of the pictures almost exactly the same. :indiff:

i cant wait until the next tournament poll is up. ive a few extras to post, but, i had three images i really liked and had troubles picking out which to use.

I just love the 1st and 3rd shot of the extra's they really do put into perspective of how massive those buildings are.

very nice updates. you make that RSC look really good, specially the last photo. i love how the building blends in to the background. the details on the other ones too, like the decals and the discs, are outstanding. very nice !!!
i say the last one and the one before it has to be my favorite.

Oh yeah this rsc looks nice!! I actually don't like that car but in your pictures (and with those rims) it looks very cool. The big shot at ny is very impressive. The skyscraper looks great bowed like that. Your evil entry looks also great. Couldn't figure out what it is until I read it. Sweet! 👍 I also thought about taking one of the black lemans for the evil entry but as you saw in my gallery I finally took the camaro...

cheers and good luck in the comps 👍

tomi - thanks 👍

jgda9rs - thanks 👍

freddy - thanks 👍 im tempted to redo my evil entry and try to bring out the highlights on the nose and clean it up a bit. but, im not very good at clean up and use of burn/dodge. ive the ps cs2 demo downloading to see if its the user or app thats causing the problems. probably a bit of both.

Unusual rally car @ the grand canyon:

be brutally honest here, i wont learn anything if im not told whats wrong. ill upload the original later when the download is finished. 133mb of 329.1mb @ 22.9kb/sec. 2 hours and 23 minutes left ...

thanks alex :)

anyone else?

'68 camaro 350

:)

The Camaro looks great, I love the angle. The only bad bit about that is the weird leaf reflections on the bonnet area.

As for the 2CV, what a shot that is! The car looks great there, and those wheels really suit it when in motion. It's definitely a great shot for an unusual rally. The only criticism I have is that the rear end of the car has been blurred a bit and it looks as if it fades off the edge of the canvas a little too much. Had you taken two shots, one at a faster shutter speed, you could have combined them to give the car a less 'faded' look towards the rear end.

But that's just nitpicking really.

nice updates. the 2cv or whatever it is looks pretty funny! bling cv! it's got an art flavor to it i must say. the camaro looks pretty nice too. love the colors on it :)

Did you put red rims on that camaro? YUCK! The shot itself is very nice, lovely angle. I like your 2cv shot a lot. Gonna get myself one, because the rim size possible on that car is rediculous XD

Sorry I missed out those shots es. The 2cv has never looked better in a picture then in this one. 👍 The camaro looks really good in that angle. I also like the (weird) refelections on the hood. Looks great.

Have you tried ps cs2 yet?

Cheers

jgda9rs - thanks 👍

Rayquaza - thanks 👍 yup, i thought the red rims looked good on it, colour matching and all ;)

freddy86 - thanks 👍 wow, i didnt think the 2cv pictures was that good, thanks :D as for the camaro, i thought the weird reflections added something to the picture and i liked it. it was nearly my muscle car entry for the last PT round, but, the hood ruined it.

ive not really had the chance to play around with cs2 yet though.

Round three entrys and two extras:

final entry

i went with the first one because i like the colours better and, while it not have as much action as the other two. its a bit cleaner other than the weird rear tyre half moving half not :indiff: ive a few more worthy of posting, but, the imageshack quick loader tool doesnt work with firefox 2.0.2 or whatever the newst version is so theyll get uploaded later.

The brown reflection seems a decal . Nice angle and complex lighting over the hood. The green tint of the ground is excessive for me, specially since I have to kill it in all original GT4 photos.

The Integra is good too but finally I went with the other entry :P

I liked this from the beginning! Very nice shot. It has a lot more suspense then the other entry. The reflections make it look very good. Quality entry which I voted for. 👍

TVR&FF - thanks 👍

alex - thanks 👍 but, what green tint?

freddy - thanks 👍

im playing around with cs2 now. i opened a tt image and started working on cleaning it up. then i went to adjust the colours, it turned nasty again needing another clean up. is that normal?

so far, i think gimp handles colours better and cs2 blur/smudge better.

That is normal, especially if you brightened up more then contrasted.

ray - thanks ... i guess i just need a lot more practise because when ever i try to blur/smudge an area it usually ends up looking worse than it started :( very frustraiting when i dont know what im doing wrong. but, ive never been good at clean up.

Yoshi GSX-R 8Hour:

a bit over sharperned, but ...

alex - thanks 👍 id like to take credit for that style of picture, but, the video playing behind the main menu screen in TT has the bikes are in that format execpt theres more contrast to the backround than what i did.

you should check out this thread: TTPMC week 3 :)

Nice! I love the reflections in the helmetvisor. Gotta love those shots with the desaturated background. I remember having a hard time creating that image for the competition half a year back. Who won that one?? :)

My last two pictures might be something you like so check em out if you've got the time. :scared:
