A light-hearted look at GT4

At the Grand Canyon, about one metre of the track actually has no railing, but you still don't fall when you crash there.

If you adjust the Camaro correctly, you can pull wheelies with it on test course. :dopey: Good fun, was so happy when I succeeded in doing this one.

Hacks? :embarrassed: no such thing has hacks in real life. :D

Are you talking about a standing start wheelie?!?!?! If so, What camaro and the tuning you used plz.

I don't really remember what the tunes were, except you put all the downforce to the back. Im sure one of the smarter, older members of GTP can fill you in on those details :D (Or you could search it on the internet/youtube/GTP)

What happens is that, once you reach the back straight of Test Course, and the optimum speed, the front end of the car starts to lift up off the ground, eventually creating about a 40-50 degree angle from the ground. (Possibly higher)

It tooks really cool, but i've never seen it in replay. I'd love to see it if you can video/take a picture.

Also, you might want to stop saying 'plz' ;) Just incase.

Ok. I have a Picture of that type of wheelie in my Profile album they do look cool. I was hoping for a standing start wheelie. I will continue my quest for the drag wheelie.

Its easy to do with faster race cars so its really nothing special.

-There's a Esperante LM, but where's the production car?

Technically, That car came from a time when a LMP could be passed off as a GT if 1 production model was made.

Here it is.

Hahaha, thanks for the quick feedback. :D Sorry it wasn't what you were looking for, but still it looks so fun. :) Still try it with the Camaro Race Car, since it could be lighter then the R92cp.

This is the actual street model of the Esperante

@ round the bend' The Camaro is also slower and doesnt have as much downforce.

Hmm... That's got me thinking.. Whats a fast, lightweight car with good down force? Can anyone help?

Those are very quick. I've tried it already and I couldnt get her to lift. If you try it let us know how it works.

I tried it last night once I finished the 24hr 'Ring Enduro.

Could get a little bit of front end lift, but not a lot. Like you said, it works better with LM cars.

Yes, excluding the FGT. I've had best results with the Nissan R92CP LMP car as far as Highest lift. fastest I've had is the Toyota GT-One race car.

Orange plastic netting is enough to stop a 1.5 tonne car moving at 85mph from plummeting into the Grand Canyon.

I laughed when that first happened to me in the game, it just bounced off...but in real life I went off a curve in my RA60 Celica while doing an amateur rally stage, through that same sort of netting, and couldn't open the doors it was wrapped around the car so tight...:dopey::)

You time travel as far into the future as 2022, to discover that everything looks the same, apart from the cars, which have no wheelrims, are driven by superfit athletes in tinfoil bodysuits and are made by sportswear manufacturers.

Other drivers will never wait for a safe moment to drive back on the track and end up turning in front of another car and creating another track, and even then, they'll just carry on with their car still squeaky clean and act like nothing ever happened

During pitstops for the Group C cars like the Jag Silk Racing and the Nissan R89C, the camera never focuses on whats happening around the car, like the tyres going off and coming back in. The camera is just at one angle, looking ahead. Maybe it's because the 2 cars i mentioned have 'covered' rear tyres. Hence they're not showing the entire pitstop process.

You can use an American hypercar that never even went into production in a rally event on Capri an unlimited number of times to win a non-existent rally raid car based on yet another concept car (you can also win this an unlimited number of times); and then sell them all, buy a 1930s speed record car from a NEW CAR dealership, only to find that it can only drive on the Nürburgring Nordschliefe and a fictional banked oval. AAAAAAAARRRGHH!!!!!! :banghead:

...While on GT5 they really don't care and just put the tire through the cover on the X2010 (and probably the two cars you mentioned).

1.You can drive past the pit crew without pitting in a Cadillac C.I.E.N. @ the Test Course.
2.Rally Lancer's have numberplates from 2015 like in the movie Back to the Future. (bars instead of numbers)
3.You can get to any part of the world in a matter of seconds. :D
4.You can't buy a Lancia Delta HF but you CAN buy an Auto Union Type C race car from 1939.
5.Apparently Costa di Amalfi is the same as Capri.
6.The legendary Mille Miglia wasn't held in Italy. Races were held at the 'Ring, the Monaco F1 track and Paris. :D

In the Special Condition races, you still get the 5 second penalty if your opponent hits you

It's impossible for the AI to get 5 Second Penalties, despite the bad driving:yuck:

You can buy a 2006 Eclipse and win a 2022 Nike in a 2005 game:crazy:

Crash into a wall at 200+mph and your car is fine :boggled:

And I'm pretty sure that in real life LMP cars can't do 300+mph...

I've run the Deutsche Touring...etc so many times as a fund-raiser that the game no longer tells me I need to clear the trophies (and doesn't), then skips the music when it gives me the Mercedes (nothing new happening here).
