Unbelievable heartbreak for Toyota. I woke up for the F1 race and caught the last 20 minutes at LeMans, only to see the Toyota lose power while leading with less than 4 minutes to go. Ugh. Gutted.

Hell of a race today. I knew Smoke wasn't gonna let that nudge in 7 go. Got him back for a nice win. Hamlin gave that one away really. Well, Tony gave it away then Hamlin gave it back, lol.

So, we are halfway thru the 2016 NASCAR Season, so how about we take a look at our Fantasy League.

It's been a rather tight race so far!

I mean c'mon. No replay of what happened to Kurt. Don't get me wrong, I knew what happened. Put yourself in front of Joey and I can tell you exactly what's gonna happen. No other driver interviews while Brad burns rubber for 10 minutes? Good TV is sticking a microphone in Kurt Busch face right after he gets wrecked on the last lap. I can't stand Fox broadcast but these guys are incompetent. Half hour later we gets to hear from Trevor Bayne, on a different network. Good for him getting a podium finish.

Also at the beginning of this race they were making a big deal about how "iconic" this race is. Really? Iconic? Of course it's special to win at Daytona but they're making it more than it really is. The 500 is iconic. I'm sure if somebody had 5 Coke 400 wins, they'd trade them all for one 500 win.

Hope everyone is having a good 4th so far. Just thought I would come on here and make a quick announcement about our next series. We will be running a short mini series during the summer with a planned start on July 16th. It will be a total of 5 weekends, we have tried to make sure the schedule will not interfere with real world races. The car and tracks will be announced at a later date. This series does not mean the cancellation of the Indycar series, but we are just holding off until fall when everyone's busy summers are over with. I plan to make a thread in the coming days and will make an official announcement when it is posted. Hope everyone has a happy 4th. See you all soon.

Fyi: set the light on the front of the controller to low unless you want your controller dying ever 40 minutes. It is on high by default. I just learned this. It has significantly extended my Lego Star Wars sessions.

Alright guys look out for the thread tonight. It is nearly complete and ready for reveal. As I mentioned before I had planned the start for July 16th and will plan to keep this date unless deemed otherwise. If the start date does change it will not be a last minute notice.

I'd like to apologize for this lengthy post right away...

Well... It's been 1.5 years since I first raced with you guys. A lot of things have happened since I joined the A.R.S. and after finally getting my first win on Saturday, I decided to take a quick look back on my sim racing career since joining GTPlanet...

It all started with me being bored one day in Auto Mechanics class during my 3rd year of high school. I had been playing GT6 since June of 2014, and was thinking about joining a league after discovering GTPlanet. I started looking for Leagues using the Red Bull X2014 Junior, since at the time that was my favorite car in the game. That's when I found the A.R.S.

I'd like to start with my first race. The Indy Lights season 3 shootout at High Speed Ring in February of 2015.
1 My First ARS Race.jpg

See me? Way back there in second to last place in the blue car? I drove for Swift Autosport with @swiftsmith. I was using a controller back then, and I got the lead by not pitting during the first caution, then lost it on the restart when I spun by myself in turn 6.

I didn't attend any races again until later that season at Autumn Ring, which was also my first race with a Wheel.

Next up is IROC season 4. My first full season. I deciding to run by myself in the Sassy Grass green #72 entry for DW SimMotorsports.
3 Me Leading my first laps.jpg

This was during the 1st race of the season at Daytona. After a mid race caution, I took the lead and didn't relinquish it until I made a mistake in 4 on the final lap. These were my first laps led.

2 On track to my first Podium.jpg

During that same season, at Midfield Raceway, a personal favorite track of mine. I got my personal best at the time, 3rd starting spot, and got my first podium finish.

Next up we have the 3rd season of Indy Lights. This time I was driving for Interstellar Motorsports (as I still am today) with @Sassafrass_3 and @Bowtie52.
4 First photo finish.jpg

In the Freedom 100, a race for me which was plagued with pedal problems I (pushed by @Michelin ) made a valiant effort to catch up to @CAB114 in the closing laps. After Michelin ran out of fuel, I attempted to pass Cab for the win. I wasn't able to do it, but did get a second place finish and my first Photo Finish.

Now a one off race, the 2.4 hours of Daytona.
5 My first 2 hour multiclass endurance race.jpg

This was my first real endurance race in Gran Turismo, and also my first Multi-Class race. I managed to come 2nd in class (GT) driving for myself with DW SimMotorsports.

Now, running a partial schedule (due to my old steering wheel breaking and waiting on getting a new one) with Interstellar Motorsports in the NASCAR Sprint Cup season 4.
6 Race I got my first pole and led the most laps for the first time..jpg

Racing at the custom track, Chevrolet Speedway, I managed my first pole position, and was able to lead the most laps before getting passed by @aceboy127 near the finish.

Finally, where we're at now. Finally getting my first win in the Roadster Summer Series. A track in which in every race I've driven there previous has been cruel to me, Twin Ring Motegi Superspeedway.
7 My first win.jpg

With 2 laps to go, running in 4th, after running behind the lead pack for most of the race, I began my charge towards the front passing @Formidable. On the final lap I got past @aceboy127. Going into turn 3, I got by @Sassafrass_3, and Ace was right on my tail. Down the front straight, I drove side by side with Ace after he gave me a small tap coming out of turn 4. I crossed the finish line inches in front of him.

It has been a fantastic 26 races. I've learned so much about race craft and setups from all of you. (Especially my teammates) I've enjoyed racing with you guys each and every weekend and I'm looking forward to the next 1.5 years!

Credit to all pictures goes to @Sassafrass_3 (Except for that last one. That one's mine)

That's awesome dude! I wish I could remember all that stuff. If I remember correctly, at Midfield, you were lurking behind me the entire race. Everytime I looked in the rear view, there you were. Same gap. I had to drive hard the whole time just to keep at bay. I appreciate you supporting the 2.4 @ Daytona even though we didn't get the turnout we'd hoped for. Great job on that first win. You've been so close in the past on several occasions. We like having you around Dylan, thanks for joining us.
