Easy win with my Lotus Elise 111R '04 550 PP (SH)

Good drive and enjoy

MP4-12C '10 = 8:25:851 :sly:

New try = 8:22:200

But...
I can go down ... I can go down, if :
My phone stops ringing
My cat no longer jump on me while driving
The firemen cut off their siren by passing near my house
The neighbor stops piercing his walls at any time
D Papp pushes him when I overtake and does not stick to me 5 seconds penalty
Easy !!

Hey @mary ann did you have cloudy skies when you did your race time ?, because I got my race time with cloudy skies.

I don't remember how the sky was like. Let's say sunny ;)
Did a few small mistakes in the race but not enough to shave 2 seconds, kudo!!

The bad news, I had a visitor at my house while working at my job: thief. Most of my electronics are gone, including my old PS3.

Bought a use PS3, I'm starting the game from scratch. Lost all my cars and setups and I'm driving a Honda Fit... Oh gross!!

Bad news indeed, hope you had some insurance!

We had two break-ins already in our house, last only a year ago - we decided to leave for a safer place, with better weather as well, plan is to move next year.

Hope to see you back soon!

Very sorry to hear that Mary Ann.

I AM very rusty on this. Tried in a fairly badly setup TVR Tamora but failed to anticipate an Elise sticking rigidly to the line and he drifted across me as I passed. Finished 4 secs behind the Rocket after the enforced spin :banghead: .

Sorry to hear that @mary ann, really sucks.

Get yourself a MiniMarcos GT! You can do something like 20 events with it if you change between NA and turbo...British, Euro etc. And laugh as you beat Group B rally cars in the Gornergrat league.

Shame you can't gift cars like in GT5.

Speed 12 is fine, with Full Downforce, feel like a Red Bull taking corners :)

I have yet to enter a race that Pap was not there. Yesterday I entered and exited 12 times and every time Papa was either P1 or P2. I tuned a '72 Lotus Europa Special that will run 1:37 lap times and still lose by 12-18 seconds. I have plenty of other cars that I have beat Pap with. The easiest has been the MP 12 C and the other the prize car AC 427. I tuned an Evora, and Griffith and beat Pap with those as well. I wish I could find just one where Pap was not there. Still a fun race with the other cars and the most challenging is with the AC. @Polsixe has a good tune and so do I. Both are a little tail happy but if you are easy on the throttle the AC is a blast.

Edit: @mary ann, so sorry to here about your loss. I sure hope they catch the 🤬 who took your stuff. It's a shame that PD locked up GT6 so we can't share cars and paint chips and such. It sucks to have to start from scratch, I know as I did it on my son's account when the Ascari events was running. My prayers go out to you.

I am happy to read that you can beat Pap with yours tunes. Beautiful work my dear friend :bowdown: :cheers:

First, thanks to all for the kind words, I really appreciate ;)

My first online race and driving for the first time the super er... um... uh... Europa. Guess what, Mr. D. Papp decided to join the party... cool :)

Lots of smoke, if you see burning tires marks on the track on your next race, it's me!!!

I bought the online GT6 version and totally love it. No more disk to clean, lens problem, track disappearing... Tracks load faster!

Question is your login bonus still valid or do you have to start over again? Hope I don't ever need it. But glad to see you're up and running again.

My login bonus is at 110%

With my old PSN and a save, I would continue the game like nothing happened. But I know another Mary Ann (thief) would give troubles. That why I think it's better this way. And the thief is Mary Ann for United States, now I'm Canadian. I hope I'll meet her online ;)

@mary ann, first very well done to beat Pap,👍 did you find a tune for the Europa or tune it yourself? I have one that I tuned myself and couldn't catch Pap. It is at 528 PP. I had a 3 sec. penalty while braking very late inside an AI and lost by 18 seconds. I had lots of tire smoke as well. I didn't do the trans flip which is going to be the next change to my tune. If you did tune it yourself or found a tune would you please share it?

Edit: to avoid a double post. I finally got a field without Pap and won with my '72 Lotus Europa Special. Just like in @mary ann race lots of smoke and drifting but had a blast and won by a good margin. Not bad for a 528 PP car and an average driver.

Edit II: I did the trans flip and changed the oil which got me to 535 PP. I chased Pap with everything I had, sliding tire smoke and all and got within 12 seconds.. I know now that I have the power to run in the mid 1:30's it's just a matter of a better tune and better driving. I'm going to watch @Tidgney video again because I'm losing time in the first turn. I've tried hooking the rumble strip to help me get through that turn. I feel it coming and ain't givin up:lol:

It's my tune. Oil change. All aids off, TC-1, ABS-1.

With MR cars, I try to avoid braking while the car is turning. I push the car to the limit while exiting corners. Better top speed and
easier to overtake cars in a straight line than cornering. I'm driving with a D-Pad. Hard to control the acceleration, smoking time :)

This is my tune, hope it can help!

Suspension:

6.00 / 2.76
7 / 1

Automatic - 280 km/h

I usually tune my cars on Apricot Hill, long straight, fast and tight corners, chicane, elevations. This track have everything ;)
